The fact we beat those teams without him, has nothing to do with the fact he was out.  He has played in the other 8 we have won this year.

I'm amazed that the argument about not selecting Hogan is still going.  I just assumed that once everyone came down off the high a bit, we would all return to our senses.

If fully fit, Hogan has to play.

It's the delivery into F50 when he is there that needs work. It's the general forward structure when he is there that needs work.  Those things aren't going to improve if he's not there.

Pedo was great and I value what he provides and gets out of himself, but he came in late last week to replace Hogan, so unless there is an actual problem with Weeds (or another biggish player), he unfortunately misses out.

Unless another player is sore or fatigued, that's the only change imo.

I think the argument is stupid too but I dont think I'll be coming down from this high until saturday night! I'm conserned it may be a bit of a crash landing

No new injuries from last week.  Wagner and Dawes available after being rested.

Like others, for mine it is Hogan for Pedersen - Tough on Pedo but given he came in as emergency he should be ok about it. 

I just hope they don't decide to play Dawes because he is rested.  He plays with concrete hands and concrete feet!

I much prefer Pedo over Dawes,  but he often plays 2-3 quality games followed by 5 average or poor ones. So he gets dropped and Dawes comes in, lasts 2 games because of re-occurring injury, and so Pedo gets a go again. Personally, this is a great time for this merry-go-round ro stop. 

I would bring Hogan back in - he is our best forward since Neitz retired, and teams have to plan to counter him. Keep Weideman in - what he showedaround the ground was "special". 

With Pedo, I would start him on the bench and rotate him into the play when Gawn, Hogan, TMac or Hogan are rotated off. I don't fully understand our rotation system but something like this could work.

From that game at Casey to Port at home is a quantum leap.

IMO there is no chance he would be promoted at this point.

What you have said OD is spot on. JKH is not ready for a recall, his match fitness alone would be a liability.

Pederson, kicked one goal, directly assisted in two others, took 5 marks. It's a pity he'll probably be dropped when Hogan comes in. If we had enough speed and mobility around the ground, it would be interesting to see whether Hogan, Weideman and Pedersen would stretch their defenders or cramp our forwards.

Interesting thought but perhaps someone who follows "time on ground" could tell me if these players are rested these days given the limited interchange rule

Paying more attention to Garlett on the replay and he was fine. 

Was applying pressure and involved enough, few crumbs didn't bounce his way. I seem to equate goals with form when it comes to Garlett, but I shouldn't.

Re: Garlett, I thought he was good anyway.  Looked to be playing further up the ground than normal in a similar role to Kent, which explains his lack of scoring.  He is credited with 4 inside 50s (equal most with Kent and, surprisingly, Frost), which supports it the idea that he played a lot of the game outside the 50.  He is also responsible for the kick that went down Kent's throat in the goal square, resulting in a goal, and the kick that led to the first Tyson goal which won us the game.  Nothing wrong with his form at all IMO.

Also the kick to Watts for his first goal, when Watts was running back towards the goal and just outstretched Stratton That kick was a ripper.
