I would get rid of whichever would get a something (or the best) at the trade table- probably Dawes, who has been a massive bust sadly, I was for that trade - got that one wrong.

keep one as back up, help the kids, no room for both next year IMO

When you say neither, are you saying that we will recruit someone else to take their role, or do you think Hulett/Weed/someone else already on the list is equipped and ready to assume that role full time in 2017?

I hope we bring someone else in. And I am assuming we will.

If we dont/cant. Pedo stays for 1 more year.

I'd be tempted to keep them both, but if I was pushed, I'd say Pedersen instead of Dawes. But I think it's entirely possible both with go.

How's that for some fence-sitting? :P

I voted neither. We may keep Pedo over Dawes though unless the entire football dept get rabies or Zika and go for Dawes.

I'm going for both to be retained at this stage. Neither should play on too far into the future, but we'd have a massive hole if Hogan was to leave and we had an injury or 2 in our talls

I went with keeping Dawes over Pedersen purely for the reasons that i believe him being around the club will help with the development of Hogan, Weiderman and Hulett. And when i say keep Dawes, I'm actually more inclined to dellist him and then rookie him.

Pedersen's been a handy player, but i reckon we can replace him easy enough by drafting Declan Keilty.

I can certainly see the argument for keeping Pedersen over Dawes however.

Was also going to ask why this is even a poll?

One can play football, the other is liked by Stuie.

How is this even a poll and how does Dawes EVER get a game ahead of Pedo?

Exactly.

Possibly another big notch for Pederson is that he has never dropped his head after being overlooked many times.

Humble character who turns up and works hard and seems to always be a good contributor even when he doesn't get his hands on it much, even if it is just by forcing an opponent to work hard on him.

The #PedoMyths are strong today. He had an ok game, but geez some of the overrating is a bit silly.

You are probably right there, but he gave more than Dawes would have today.

Let's face it they are both only depth, but if Casey is to win back-to-back Premierships then hopefully they will play their part.

Fairly similar output today to Dawes' last 2 weeks, yet due to pre-existing bias Dawes gets bagged and Pedo gets credit here.

I don't agree with that at all big fella, but we will just have to agree to dis-agree.  Cheers.

Wrong, Pedersen was excellent today. I have no doubt that his inclusion was a key reason our forward line functioned so well today.

Not sure I agree with mate champ, unless you're planning on dropping Hogan too...

I totally agree Clint.

I thought we'd win today (for some weird, not necessarily logical, reason). And then I saw Hogan being ruled out/omitted and Pedo coming in, and it simply strengthened that belief.

He's not a particularly sexy footballer, but he seems always to add value/contribute.

Would be very disappointed if he doesn't get another year. Whilst he's probably not in our best 25 going forward, he's still very important to us, eg, today.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
