Petracca out, he looks cooked.  Could barely run at times.

There will be some changes to freshen the side up. Oscar will miss, wouldnt be suprised to see Oliver & Bugg in for Stretch & Petracca they both look like they need a rest. Not sure if Garland, Dunn or Wagner for Oscar

Not sure that a rolled ankle would keep O Mac out but you'd have to think Liam may be a chance.

Surely McCartin couldn't be back two weeks after his third concussion?

Players were out on their feet, except for Jones.

In the last 50 seconds he sprinted 50 metres to create an option. Amazing endurance.

Ben K for Bugg

Oliver for Petracca

Wagner for O Mac

Pretty sure BenKen was out there. Maybe Bugg for BenKen.

Wagner for Oscar would be a good replacement but I thought Wagner was a bit longer out?

Don't think we'd bring Bugg back in without him having played a game at Casey. Also, if you're going to drop Ben K, need to bring in a forward.

No real point guessing the specific ins and outs but I'd expect 4-5 changes. The Casey players will be fresh as a daisy after the bye and our younger pups will be cooked after the Darwin conditions.

Probably one of the more fortunate side-effects of Casey seemingly having a bye every second week.  Actual fresh players in a week we'll truly need it.

Out: Garland, Oliver, Bugg

In: Oscar (inj), White (unlucky), Grimes

FB: Jetta  Frost   Garland
HB: Vince T Mc   Hunt
C:  Stretch Tyson  M Jones
HF: Kent  Petracca  Ben Ken
FF: Garlett Hogan  Watts
Foll: Gawn  Jones  Viney
Int: Vanders  Oliver  Bugg Harmes

I'd rather White or Wagner than Garland but against the Saints you have to see who the best match up for Membrey (as well as Bruce and Riewoldt) will be and I think it's Garland. Similarly White is unlucky to miss out but the saints have so many quick and hard pressure small forwards so we need smaller quicker defenders like Vince and Harmes back there instead of the slower Wagner or White who have a lot to offer against slower teams.

With Vince to half back I'd pick Oliver to give us another midfielder. Bugg for some fresh legs and he's fiery which we need.

If Ben Ken, Vanders or Petracca need a rest I'd throw Hulett in and go tall. Not sure ANB, Newton, Trengove or Michie have much to offer at this stage as half forwards.

Vince was clearly struggling with a sore lower leg. Hopefully it won't keep him out though.

The only player who was really poor tonight was Garlett, so I can't see why anyone would be dropped for poor form. However, if players need a rest, I could understand changes being made.

Harmes is a messy player and at this stage looks to be a fringer. Petracca looked stuffed half way through the first quarter. I'm not sure they'll bring Bugg straight back. Oliver seems a likely in, as does Wagner. Given the fast deck and the taxing conditions tonight, I'd be inclined to rest a couple. Petracca, Stretch, Harmes and Kennedy probably in the gun.

IN: Wagner, Bugg, ANB
OUT: OMac (injured), Stretch, White

Wagner would have come in anyway, but with OMac likely to miss that's an obvious swap. Bugg in to tag Jack Steven, and ANB in to provide run while Billy has a rest week after Darwin. Love Oliver, but not sure Etihad is the best venue to bring him back in, we need run.

I get the feeling they will look into possibly resting players after the Darwin trip, they were out on their feet at the end. Omac seems to be the only forced out though, Vince played out the game so I suspect it was just a knock and lighter duties through the week will see him to Sunday's game.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
