I hope Clayton Oliver's bump on Prestia in the second quarter is not considered head high. If it is, he is in trouble.

Who is Prestia?

Never heard of him.

Was it a bump or more a coming together of players and he braced. I didn't think anything of it as it happened, thought it will get looked at when they showed the replay. Might be in a bit of trouble, who can tell with the MRP.

I hope not as I don't see it as a deliberate act.

It's on the afl highlights so it will be looked at. Got him high with forearm to the head and prestia stayed down.

but if u watched it, touk miller pushed Oliver into prestia. Oliver was just a pinball

Hard to tell with mrp though

Yep pushed by Miller.

Jack Viney gets cleaned up with a hip straight to the head after slipping on the turf and I'd say the same thing about that - it's one of those things that happens in footy and no need for a suspension.

Was just a clash of bodies with force coming from different directions. He will be fine.

Love that he took out two blokes in 30 seconds! Human wrecking ball!

Just watching AFL Gameday on 7, they went through their picks that the match review panel may look at, he wasn't in there

He was also clearly going hard at the ball, you can't suspend a bloke for having more courage and going harder at the ball.

had it been off the ball he might have been in a spot of bother

In the clear from the MRP. Not even reviewed.

He braced as Prestia ran into him - much like the Viney one a couple of years ago v Adelaide, in which he was given 3 weeks, then cleared on review.

A player must be allowed to hold his ground.

Ignored by the MRP.

The GC player that collected Viney's head with his hip got looked at but got off. He will be going in for surgery to repair his hip this week.

I heard Jack Viney once broke a Nokia phone just by looking at it, can anyone confirm?

I believe Jack once called someone, and the mere appearance of his name on his friend's phone caused it to explode.

To be fair, if it was a modern era Nokia, it's not that impressive a feat.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
