Did anyone else hear Huddo & Dr Turf on SEN about half an hour ago talking about the rumor of no Hogan?

Anyone know if he trained today?

On ch7 sport during the week they reported Hogan leaving the track early and returning with a bandage I think around his calf. Geez if he misses no one will kick goals.

Geez no Jeffy again.

We knocked over Geelong without him.

Our mosquito fleet will out run and outwork the cold pies.

There goes my theory! Who knows thrn. Didnt even look at their team, assumed because they upgraded him that he would play. Maybe Pedo and Dunn on the two big guys, and Mcdonald to play on Howe and run off him.

I wonder why they upgraded him then?

Whatever the outcome, it's not going to be because we selected both Frost and Pedersen.

On the other hand, Vince and Garlett are big outs for us.

I heard it too. From what i can tell he has been carrying the calf problem at least the last 2 weeks. I hope he plays.

I think Moore might be in doubt, incase he does not play Cox in i would say

That would be good for us, Moore's leap concerns me, similar to Joe a couple of weeks ago....

That is a mistake as to whether he has gotten oven an injury, it is not an ironclad guarantee and also not the main part of his job, as I said in my post.

I get that, but if Mission is asked those questions he could direct that question to right location.

Reporter: So what's the diagnosis on Garlett?
Mission: I cant comment on that, your best option would be to speak with the medicos.

Instead of

Mission: She'll be right, will 100% play, with out a doubt.

Misson: Attention our next opponent. Garlett will NOT be playing. Better factor that into your team selection and game plan. You don't want to have any nasty surprises on game day. We'd feel terrible.

Don't buy that at all. If Misson is going to use a segment clearly intended to inform the supporters to lie to the supporters purely to throw the opposition off the scent, they might as well just save everyone the hassle and disband the segment; it would have the same effect.

I prefer the simpler explanation: Misson presented his opinion based on the best information he had at hand at the time.

Surely Frost moves to the backline. Not sure what they're doing with Stretch. He hasn't been bad in eitherhe played, and was dropped the following week.

Frost was lost down back last week and looked at least a little at home up forward. Still a long way off this level at the moment. Roosey looking for the extra tall forward option with Dawes still out. We are a tall short

Misson might have a big career in politics once he is finished in the AFL!

the bench looks unbalanced for mine.. wagner and hunt? both inexperienced and both play similar positions. que? would've much preferred neal-bullen be included. his form has been pretty impressive and he offers energy and potentially a goal or two..

probably a few weeks early for hunt i think.. not sure why they selected him in such a vital game? it just doesn't make sense that he's getting a debut off mediocre NAB games and then one good game against a poor VFL team.. so much for standards. i would've preferred that they waited until he was banging the door down!

i'm gonna be [censored] if we lose to the pies and roos says that they mucked up the team selection again and relied too heavily on youth..

Let's hope we don't hear after the game "yeah we made a mistake at the selection table" that will do my farkin head in.

I expect to see Hunt playing more on the wing/forward, considering Garlett is still out. Think of him as a straight swap for Stretch.

Vanders has been playing as a marking forward so Pederson for him.
Vince out for Brayshaw (obvious).
Stretch was brought in for his run Hunt in for him.

I'm not convinced Pedersen is the greatest in but when you break it down its not that bizarre

edit: And Perderson can play as swing man if required

I would think Pedo plays at CHB and further up when the press/zone is on. Frost up forward as a decoy. Hopefully he leads WIDE and often! That's IF he is in though. Had a pretty poor game last week and also ranked the lowest in my stat rankings on the day. Surprised if he stays in with Pedo coming in.

Can't see us winning without Jeffy. We lack speed, spread and finish that's much needed on the wide open spaces of the G. We have a few like Kent and Stretch but both are NQRs at the moment. Kent - Speed not the greatest finish, Stretch ...same. Jeffy has it all plus puts extreme pressure on opponents coming out of our 50. Coach's dream when he's on. The other forwards will need to be maniacal here (pressure i50 when we don't have it) if we're to have any chance of winning this. Hopefully Jeffy makes it. Amazing how other teams (Hawks etc) seem to get their key players up earlier than expected. Ours tend to stay out for extra!

Jeffy in we win by a whisker!

In an ideal world i would be looking for ...

In: Garlett, Pedo, Brayshaw, Hunt

Out: Vanders (Inj), Vince (sus), Frost, Wagner

These changes make no sense to me.

Teams have been beating pies on the outside, we bringin another tall. I also think we have to many noobs in the team. I wouldn't have bought in Hunt the week after Wagner debuts ans both he and Oliver are in limited game time.

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
