Bernie threw an elbow to the throat of Macmillan in the 3rd quarter. Was late and high contact.. The replay I saw initially I thought he was in trouble but haven't seen a replay since. Think he may miss the collingwood game, anyone else see the incident ? thoughts

He is Gawn for at least 2 looking at the video!

2 weeks for that. Almost 2 steps after the player kicked the ball, deliberate, high, and dont fool yourself that that didn't  hurt.

Moloney...........missed........2 weeks

but then the MRP so severely confused, compromised and inconsistent, who knows?

Hope for a reprimand but likely 1 week.

Silly.

We are a long way off mastering anti social football at the moment. Too many dumb down fields and silly incidents. Senior players involved in some of them.

I guess sometimes you have to cross the line to find the right spot when for a long time we've been no where near physical enough. Just wish it wasn't Bernie!

I think 1 week for stupidity alone...

Am i the only one thinking that Bernie has had a pretty average start to the season?

Don't get me wrong... I have a man crush on Bernie, but so many times today I saw him just hack the ball forward on a 90deg angle without even raising his eyes...

I understand the whole "move it forward quickly" mentality, but this action more often than not ends up with the opposition defenders marking uncontested and beginning a foray forward...

Was actually really annoying me today... I think if he does get a week, then a part of me will be looking forward to seeing the team dynamic without him...

Historically we are the only club ever to have had a player suspended for missing.

The hacked kick forward is a weakness in his game for a player so very capable of getting out of trouble and using the ball well on both feet but we won't be better without him.

He made a difference going in to the middle against GWS in the last quarter and he was involved in our best passages and ran more than most others in the slops of round 2. I'd say he's got room to improve but wouldn't quite go as far as saying average.

I tend to agree that we will not be better without him, but I won't be too upset as I think we will convincingly beat the filth next week...

Vince is great and I only question his method of moving the ball forward as it has irked me so far this year.

I have found myself struggling with crazy thoughts so far this season.... Most notable being the voice in my head telling me we have the wrong guy as captain...

I need a lie down as the roller coaster ride we have endured thus far is clearly causing me some head trauma!

For those saying he missed, it's time for a visit to the umpires' sponsor. Was low impact but the intent is what will get him a week's holiday.

Hopefully he gets off through sheer luck of missing.

Unbeliavably stupid thing to do. He had a while think about it. We need him against the Pies. BOG last time of meeting.

Can you get done on intent even if you miss? Geez, I must've seen 100 cheap shots just as bad miss and nothing ever said.

I can't give you the match times but if you can check out Grigg on Fyfe in the NAB Challenge. I'll be v upset if Vince goes for that. If it connected however, he'd be screwed, and it had the potential to be extremely bad.

It's a shame if he does go, 2 of his best games were against Pendlebury last year.

Moloney was.  They admitted that he hadn't made contact and still gave him two weeks because he clearly intended to make contact.

Nothing in it but the tribunal is corrupt/incompetent as shown by their Essendon verdict and what they've done to Viney and Trengove in the past

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
