You lost me at South Australian talent.

Why? By that reasoning, it would appear that you read the vast majority of WJ's summary anyway...

Mitch Brown any interest?

Certainly a superior player at vfl level to Fitz, King, etc

Should pop up as a rookie somewhere. I wouldn't mind too much if it were with us, as long as we'd explored all other options first.

Fook me, how many people are requesting trades to Geelong? Zac Smith, Dangerfield, Henderson and soon Scott Selwood.

They don't want to be beat by Melbourme again.

I just hope Adelaide hold their nerve and force Geelong to blow their top picks on Dangermouse. That will have a serious impact on their ability to do a deal on Henderson, Smith and Selwood. It's particularly important now that the AFL has revealed what it will take to get a first round pick for him in FA compo. I'm pretty sure the contract on offer isn't enough to qualify.

I heard from a Carlton fan that a swap of Bell and Aish is being attempted.

I hope for Brisbane's sake that Carlton are also throwing a pick in there.

This directly contradicts the AFL website which suggests he is staying put:

Everyone who is moving and everyone who is not moving - take everything with a grain of salt under the end of trade period. Lots of white noise out there and certs to move will stay put and players not expected to move will find a new home - tis the way of the AFL world

Very very interesting if true.

Where did the AFL say what it takes to get a first round compo pick? Was it recent? I thought they kept the actual formula under wraps.

I read a tweet that Maher on SEN said Treloar could end up at Carlton, would be funny as it would annoy the filth, but surely he is full of it.

Lol Maher is a carlton supporter.. of course he will say, just like KB said Treloar to tigers was a done deal.

AFL.com.au. About 15 hours ago.

The last line is an AFL get out clause.

The committee can refer it to Mark Evans if the verdict appears to be a material anomalous result.

Is anyone from the crows on the committee?

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
