Appalling quarter. No effort. Midfield watching North's while they run around us. Forwards pushing up the ground to try to help the embarrassing midfield, therefore no forward line. Turnovers. Mistakes.

Just rancid.

Game over.

We will have IMPROVED when we actually win TWO FARKIN games in a row.

You can honestly tell within the 1st 5 minutes if Melbourne are any hope.

And today they didnt last 2 minutes.

So have only joined the game late in terms of watch but it of course started with us gifting them two easy goals at the start. You can say it's reward for repeat inside 50s but you gift goals early to any team, let alone an inform team, you're already in trouble. What I saw was kangaroos attacking the footy with more intent. Case in point right at the end the passage of play that led to the final goal, a two on one but the one won the contest.

Getting absolutely hammered in the middle, which is bad enough. But then you give them space and dont look like chasing down and tackling?

Melbourne of old.

Must be nice to win 2 games back to back. I know, I know, its a hell of a lot to ask.

Well that was worth getting up at 4am for, back to bed for me. First the Ashes then this rubbish.

Where are vince and Jones or anyone in the midfield. Dunn having a shocker as well. Watts won't get over that first kick either

So…how much of this is North being a horrendous matchup problem for us, how much is it us being outclassed by a top-8 quality team, and how much is our poor effort? Any takers?

about equal amounts i think

We are still 5-6 players short of a decent list...and weve got 5-6 on it who aren't able to play today.

Shlt happens...Invariably it wears red and blue.

Early goal to Dawes from a tight angle and the score is 46 to 18 Norths way

Key to beating Melbourne—tag Nathan Jones out of it and hope Bernie Vince doesn’t play a blinder. Do that and the rest will play like training cones.

You forgot - play a loose man in defence,

Dawes playing well today... 3rd goal to him from a free and its 46 to 24

Posted

Another free to Dawes, but he misses a hard one and its 46 to 25

Melbourne’s having a shocker and Chris Dawes of all people is our BOG.

Dawes’ opponent is giving him way too much credit and giving away all these frees. Doesn’t he know that he can just provide a slight contest and Dawes will fumble?

Posted

What sayeth it of us that its taking Dawes to fly the flag!!

Posted

That was very good by Michie. I like that he does not panic when he gets the ball. Dawes is on today and I think Hogan is playing well and recognising it by going up the ground. He is a thinker for a kid.

Thats the way Gawny.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
