hm, interesting with 'vandemon' and grimes also up and about...

i'd expect lumumba, vandenberg would practically be auto-ins.

jkh must come under consideration given we'll need run, and lots of it.

VANDERS IN IMMEDIATELY. He is a weapon, who if he feels a bit off the pace can easily play in the forward line and get goals.

Drug cheats are trying to tank now and send players off to surgery early. Let's humiliate them and [censored] up their culture even more

I disagree. It means that Viney or Vince who would definitely go to Watson will go to someone else. This is great news for us, he may have been down in form but he still would have been very dangerous.

It also means that there's one less player to tag. So our best tagger can then go to Zaharakis or whoever.

As for odds for the game given injuries etc, knowing us and coming back from Darwin, it's still very much a danger game. I'll be happy with the 4 points (no matter how we get them)

i must say that the news of Watson missing to me is a worry- far too often over many years we have gone down to teams that have lost leading players through injury or suspension.

It is a mental thing.

FCS just go out and beat up whoever is there.

Your right PF I have been saying the same

We are now here fit enough yet

Aren't you and PF the same person?

Boy Jack lonie (saints player) is really helping us in maintaining baguley's suspension.

Baguley said he was faking it... Lonie hasn't taken kindly to that and is doing his best to get Baguleys suspension extended to 2 weeks lol

Good on him I say

Interesting Tribunal dialogue/commentary:

“Baguley pleads guilty to intentional striking, but is seeking to have the contact downgraded from high to body contact. - He accuses Lonie of "faking it" when he went to ground after the strike.”

Lonie sticks to his guns when the suggestion is put to him that contact was more than "marginally" less to his neck.”

“Adrian Anderson (for Baguley) … infers Lonie's evidence shouldn't be given the same weight as Baguley's.

Odd line of defence by Baguley…’played the man not the ball’ in my book. Lonie not having a bar of it! Good on him!

Baguley will be very lucky if he gets off!

Positive injury update. So:

In: Grimes, Vanders, Lumumba

Out: Bail, Spencer, M Jones

FB: Jetta Dunn Garland

HB: Cross McDonald Grimes

C: Lumumba Jones Watts

HF: Brayshaw Hogan Vanders

FF: Garlett Dawes Howe

Foll: Gawn Vince Viney

Int: Tyson ANB Stretch Toump

E: Fitzy, Harmes, JKH

Leaning towards giving Howe one more week back as a true mid sized forward. Hurley will go to Hogan more than likely as I think Hooker will stay forward. Then it's a matter of having a couple of good marking options to take advantage of Gwilt and Steinberg. I'm tempted to leave Spencer in (ahead of Howe) but I think the best balance against Essendon's lack of ruckman is to ask Dawes to do a bit of time in the ruck and to put the challenge on Gawny to run out the game. It's time he shows he can do it.

Not sure the week after the Darwin conditions we should be putting that challenge to Gawn. I'd leave Spencer as an emergency and bring him in if the weather is fine, otherwise I'd be going with Dawes or even Howe in the ruck. Make him actually do something this week.

That is a very petty and vindictive post Biffen.

I detect some personal financial pain in there.

The Albert Park types go to South Yarra for their concoctions.

I'm more of a street level guy, despite my loft and superior demeanour.

And there it is..

7:02pm: Baguley has his charge downgraded. He will be fined $1500 and is free to play this weekend.

I put the mozz on him.

He's out for the year,by Jobe.

This really sucks for Neeldy when he becomes caretaker.

Ah the AFL Tribunal system ( shrugs shakes head) consistently inconsistent, consistently!

Shocking!

Its going to be wet, very wet !!we cannot go in with Spencer as well as Gawn! Here's an idea! tell Howe to do some relief Ruck duties with his leap and play an extra groundy !!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
