FAREWELL JEREMY HOWE

What

Recommended Posts

Just heard on the news we are looking at tying petracca up until 2018 as well...

Jonesy said on Game Day out of all the young guys, Petracca is the one he's most excited about, and I took that as including Hogan. Pretty big wrap.

...he then went on to mention every other kid too though, like a good captain would.

Egh John Ralph never opens his eyes the whole way. Looks like French Stewart from 3rd rock from the sun

he's just a disingenuous shyte stirrer. toss in a greedy player manager with a big ego and a desperate sports media editor and we get this carp.

I think Howe is underated by us. But mainly becuase he scares the daylights out of opposition coaches.... :)

I'd say opposition coaches probably just say run off Jeremy Howe. He won't chase.

hopefully hes not a pea heart like Rivers and Frawley

Clark...

Incidentally, I wonder whether Clark will look for another new team now? Surely playing for a bottom four side will adversely affect his health.

Don't be ridiculous. Everyone knows the best cure for a chemical imbalance like depression is changing where they work... to do the exact same job.

Have to say that despite all the other wonderous upsides of Geelong falling off their perch this year, having Clark be thick amongst it while we are looking ok is the best.

The figures are likely 20% more than the reality, bloated by his agent.

If we gave him 3 at $550k a year it would do.

Plus we can guarantee him a new car per year!

You don't think this is good news? You'd rather they left it til he was out of contract next year, so everyone can speculate over whether he is staying or going?

No i ment what else was mentioned? Did they say he would sign soon.

I live in a part of the country that can be troubled by cyclones in the summer months. We have found media will always take the most sensational and easiest route to report them. This year they used unattributed file footage of crashing waves, driving wind and rain on the news in Melbourne with a reporter doing the audio over the top. In reality that same beach had calm seas and was bathed in sunshine for most of that day.

No doubt the reporting of Howe and others contract negotiations are subject to the same level of quality journalism. I really would not believe anything that has been reported aside from the fact that neither party has signed

Howe has been called overrated by so many on here, I think it has got to the stage where he is now somewhat underrated. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, and he is definitely a required player.

It all depends though. If packaged with pick 8ish in exchange for Hannebury (or someone that good) he is less required

Yep, Howe and our first round pick for Shiel and their second round pick, Frost becomes a permanent back, Shiel takes Cross' spot and we draft another premier ruck and were finals bound

Tim Watson on SEN this morning has said he's good mates with someone involved in a recruitment/list management role at an AFL club and he has told him there has absolutely been calls from Howe's manager about a possible move.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
