These are definitions of Internet defamation that one can be sued for. Hmmm. If Hird or Clarke wanted to sue someone they would have thousands of poster to choose from dozens of forums.

An imputation which may tend to cause a person to be hated or despised, or cause them to be treated with contempt by their peers;

The publication of material that renders a person to ridicule, even if involving humour. The publication of a photograph that contained an optical illusion giving the appearance that someone was guilty of indecent exposure is defamatory;

Ouch! They certainly breed them tough out in Hopping Dicks Creek. Well done sir.

Tough, or just a bit crazy? I'm not sure. One of the neighbours likes to make his raincoats out of hessian sacks, tying them with barbed wire. I've got standards to aspire to.

Sounds like the main character out of Flannery O'Connor's novel Wise Blood. Your neighbour's name wouldn't be Hazel Motes would it?

Is Ryan Griffen playing? How's he doing?

I'm watching, but I haven't noticed him... I think I heard them say he wasn't playing? They were reeling of a long list of names of the top GWS players who aren't playing - great because it shows just where the Bummers are at now... and that is is absolutely nowhere considering they have a few of their "better" players back in (I think just 6 top up players this week).

Quite possibly the most boring game of all time.

I find GWS horribly boring to watch. Put them with half an Essendon side and it leaves me wanting to watch the NRL instead.

We are not much better to watch.

... with $6m in his back pocket.

Only a bit over 3 mil after taxes

He may struggle to make ends meet

Brock McLean is a legend because he saved this football club

"Wonder if we'll get band 1 compo for losing Howe as a FA at the end of the year?"

With absolutely nothing to play for and some games not even screened, the NAB Challenge is descending into nothing more meaningful than a series of scratch matches. In order to bring back some interest into it all, I've had a go at putting together the ladder to this stage of proceedings which shows that a win to the Dees tomorrow should see them move into the eight.

Now, we've got something to play for :wub:

GWS Giants 2 0 191 110 173.64 8

Brisbane 2 0 133 94 141.49 8

St Kilda 1 1 156 109 143.12 4

Leaving aside Essendon...that could easily be the 2015 end of H & A season ladder, in reverse! ;)

And we would still make the 8! :o

    THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

    In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

    RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

    One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
