Found it a bit ironic this bloke came out publicly kicking and screaming at Neeld and Craig for not giving him much of a go and now they have gone ahead and given him a second chance.

Interesting selection

Just waiting for Brent Moloney to get named soon.

And Mitch Clisby.

Surely Tom Gillies must get a run?

BTW, this from the Essendon site (I know, I know ...):

Bio: Clisby is a 25 year old who played eight games for Melbourne when Mark Neeld and Neil Craig were at the club. Currently on the North Adelaide list in the SANFL he is a quality outside midfielder who has a strong running ability. He uses the ball well by foot when given time and space.

List Manager Adrian Dodoro: “The former Melbourne rookie player was rated highly as a junior and comes to the club on a recommendation by Mark Neeld and Neil Craig. Clisby has the ability to play on the wing or play through the midfield. He played eight senior games after making his debut at Melbourne under Neil.”

Umm... round 2, 2013 ring any bells for you, Biff? I can quite understand if it has been deliberately scrubbed from your memory ...

Magner clisby petrenko brown jones.. Sounds a bit similar to our recruiting in 2012. Scattergun

Yes, I agree, although I was surprised that Clisby was dropped and I always liked the way Magner played and thought he deserved more opportunity, but we continued to play others who would be satisfied with 5 disposals for an entire game, Magner was a ball magnet.

Must have been some sort of pre season that the boys put in that year.

I didn't mind Clisby.

Neil Craig was obviously a fan. Got him in as soon as he took control and kept him in. Clisby is a little small to defend medium forwards and lacks a bit of penetration on his kicks but his short to medium kicking is solid and he added some rebound to our team when he came in. I was surprised Roos didn't give him a shot.

Neeld seriously rates Evans, he would be a good chance

This just gets better and better. I wonder how long people can possibly still #standbyhird

Until they are a Carlton 2002/03 style basketcase or worse. By that, I mean when they are close to handing the keys back to the AFL. Edited by Colin B. Flaubert
