How did he go in their time trial today?

He said he didn't run. He just ran some laps to make an appearance for the occasion. Says he is fit and ready and his mind is in a better place, soft tissue problems gone and his foot is good. All I know is if I see him playing forward and turning it on like he did for 10 games in 2012 for the freaking cats I may be physically ill!!

On Blease , I don't think he got much of a go by Roos....maybe he was being made into something he is not, a back flanker? A midfielder? I think he is a natural goal sneak nothing more, should do well at Geelong if played as a forward pocket.

On Clark, I don't believe a single word that comes out of that guys mouth.

The point with Blease (and Evans, for that matter) is that at this stage we can't afford players who run only one way.

Geelong might be able to (they got a lot out of players like Varcoe).

Well they did well with Rivers as he jagged a pretty high placing in there B & F. Was it 5th or 6th? Not sure but not bad for a player in a top 4 team who most dees supporters I spoke to were fine with letting him go.

Why wouldn't the cats roll the dice again with a couple players who have some positive attributes.

In saying that I hope they both have wonderful pre-seasons so they can have a no excuse season at there physical peak.... and then not get a single kick!

Except Rivers was a good solid player for us for years. Many supporters were sad to him go. Bleese done bugger all. Rivers was targeted by the cats because they could see his value. Blease is a speculative punt. Edited by america de cali

I've no time for Sam Blease but I sense there are a lot here who are scared that he'll succeed.

What I do know is that Geelong is a very good club with significant football knowledge and a professional approach and if they have recruited him there is reason to think he has attributes they can use.

If he succeeds we should ask ourselves why we couldn't use those attributes. I don't think we'll have to bother but I don't discount the possibility.

Geelong seem to have taken a few punts this time around. Clark, Stanley, Blease. Maybe it's boom or bust for them, the last hurrah. I don't rate Stanley, I think Blease will be only a bit part player at best and with Clark it's purely an injury thing. We know he can play.

Agree, picking up half cooked players and speculative rejects has never really been thier go.

It's a change of tack that isn't going to work in this case.

Interesting that Blease is saying that "they don't want me to change, they love me just the way I am". That attitude will have a limited shelf life at Geelong.

Geelong have taken a few relatively low risk (low outlay), low chance of a possible high return prospects.

Balme jumped ship because he sniffed the winds of change.

The cats are due for a flat spot.

However Hocking is of the highest calibre and will have the cats turning it around.

In time. Hopefully a lot of time.

A win over the Cats in Geelong next season would be cause for a quiet pint or ten.

Please explain!!!

Go to SEN's Facebook Page. It should still be there unless they have wiped it.

Supporters were really giving it to him. Not all Demons either.

Very few wishing him luck

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
