If Roos is certain that his head is right, then a big yes from me. Swap for Blease, please.

Won't say no to Garlett. He has pace and goal sense, which are two critical needs for the club. Hopefully the change of scenery does him some good and we see him back at his best. He's too good to be running around in the VFL like he was last year.

The thing to remember in all of this is no one is trying ( nor can) quickly invoke a team of the century. The FD is , i suspect simply trying to build a capable team and one that's a building block going forward.

Its a step by step thing

At least we're walking....eh Mr Walker :)

I'm I misremembering, or is there some relationship between Jeff Garlett and Nev Jetta. Family? Friends?

Don't think so the Jetta's are from Bunbury way, think Jeff may be related to Des Headland. A cousin of mine is married into the Headland family and am pretty sure the Garlett's and Headlands are related

I don't know where Carlton are going to get their goals from next year.

Waite gone

Garlett gone

But then again, I don't care either.

Liam Jones and Sam Blease will surprise the competition by becoming the best marking and crumbing combo.

Wow. The highlights package is better than anyone in the draft thats for sure.....

i want him just for the tackle he laid on Boomer, that said he's good in the air, the way he tapped the ball out of the pack to himself showed he can do more than just receive. As many other have said, watching the wheels wobble at pies/bums/scum is a delight in two senses, petty hatred AND some players are actually happy to come here.

what does this mean for JKH?

Just a kid starting out.

Garlett proves that small fast bludging forwards need to have a score impact nearly every time they get a touch.

Unfortunately JKH in his first year didnt do that,Once he realises greed is the temper of these types,he will get there.

The thing to remember with Garlett is that he produced his best football alongside Betts. Once he lost his partner he went to pieces.

He doesn't seem to have coped very well with being the primary small forward. What we hope here is that playing him up the ground he'll get more room to move and use his speed to set up scores rather than kick the goals himself.

Is Carlton interested in Blease?

They certainly were last year.

I think this is the trade we're all hoping will be a straight swap but in my opinion Garlett is a much better player.

Or Betts leaving was just one of many contributing factors which resulted in him having a poor year...

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
