He only drinks Scottish Whisky when we have a win?

I'm easy to confuse when people don't punctuate their sentences.

I thought he was saying he drinks something called Me Arbelour. I thought I had stolen a bottle of every drop ever made, but in all my juvenile break and enters, I have never encountered something with that name.

(just joking about the break and enters)

All I know is Arbelour is a whiskey and I think it's Scottish. The rest was a stab in the dark.

Don't get me wrong.. I'd take Danger in a heart beat.. But if the Petracca hype is true.. Then we may have our own Version of Danger! And with the way we have been drafting the last two years, I'd rather us go to the draft again and find another Brayshaw/Salem, and keep building like the Saints have!

If we can find another Bernie Vince in the rough, pick up another jet in the draft and get Petracca and Trengove fit., we'll be a 10+ win team next year!

Petracca may have the "go home" factor like Dangermouse... Whats the closest club to Templestowe?

And improve King, Hunt, White, O Mac, JKH and Harmes.

And get Kent, Frost, Vandenberg and Tyson fit and playing.

And get HL back to his Pies form.

If we play a more attacking open style he will get back to good form.

The Paul Roos game plan is not kind to him and his skill set.

Disagree, he was just plain poor. It was not the game plan that made him fumble, mis kick and mis handball, for the few times in a game he touched the footy.

Is Dangerfield playing in this weeks Prelim?

Is Treloar?

is Bennell?

Of course the answer is no, because it takes more than one good player it takes a team mainly built up of home grown talent and when they start performing and looking the goods, they then attract good players to the club and they stay strong.

I'll back Petracca to be our explosive midfield gun, with great support from Jones, Tyson,Viney Brayshaw and co.

Then of course we have our sold bookends in Hogan and McDonald and a very good ruckman in big Maxy.

If we can pick up a Bastinac and a Melksham for depth and next year snare a Prestia or an O Meara we will be a strong unit.

Reminds me of the young crew we had in the late eighties that got us to a grand final, when Viney, Lyon , Schwarz and co ripped up the G.

I think we are in good hands and exactly where we should be at this stage, similar to the Hawks five or six years ago

If we are lucky enough to snare a Bennell this year then that will fast track us a bit.

It is clear that the good players leaving clubs, want to go to the top teams and who can blame them. They want to play finals. We have to get in the finals or close and show the AFL world we are on the rise. To do that we need to improve what we have, hope for a good injury run, which we haven't had in years and get some more talent in now that can play.

Therefore despite the risks, we need a Bennell now. We should be chasing him hard. Howe appears to be wanted by GC and so the our foot is in the door. A player who can rack up 38 possies and kick 6 goals in a game won't be found in the draft ready to do that. We should back ourselves in to mentor him and get him moving forward with his footy and his life. If we don't another team will.

We have a good batch of youngsters to develop and I would take only a few picks in the draft and go all out for players who could walk into our best 22 now.

Bennell and even Melksham would make our best 22. That would be a good start. Add a couple more and we improve our chances of winning more games.

It is a catch 22 situation, but in the end we will be judged by our our on field performance not our balance sheet.

You have never seen him play a game. What makes you so certain?

As certain as Scully/Trengove or McLean/Sylvia?

It's kinda like Hogan, I just know he will be good.....even Hogan backs him in himself.

But also just hoping I guess, as he was rated higher than Gus Brayshaw and he really looks the goods so I'm pretty confident Petracca

will be a gun.

Also watched him a lot at training and he is a monster big bodied mid with lots of power.

I'll back him in any day.

Hear , Hear, Red

Hes a flawed diamond perhaps but a diamond none the less. He'd sparkle a damn sight brighter than some of the "gems" we have currently

Adelaide playing hardball and "will accept offers from other Victorian clubs."

Essentially, you can't have Motlop on the table at one point, then convince him to stay, take him off the table and expect Adelaide to be content with pick 13 only.

The arrogance of Geelong is quite amazing. When they offered 800k they must have known Adelaide was going to match it. They can surely afford more. If they can't they have managed their list very poorly considering what they have lost this year. Adelaide matching makes is very hard for him to get to Geelong. The odds are against them now, and in favour of any team that can offer a better deal. Danger won't knock back a trade that Adelaide agrees with. As long as he gets to Victoria. If he knocks it back, he's in the pre-season draft for less money. Cats must be [censored] bricks. My God, there are some Cats fans on Bigfooty that I can't wait to lay in to if he doesn't end up there. All I would say is that it's not 100% he'd end up at Geelong and the response was always, "He's not coming to Melbourne", despite the fact I never mentioned Melbourne.

I used to like Geelong.

Danger will be a Demon next year.

Look at photos of Brendan Mcartney and Dangerfield. Definitely Maccas love child.

The clincher for the deal was that Macca lives in Geelong and Danger is moving into his investment property there and they could car pool.

There is nothing surer!

This. I think the sweetener is that he wont have to wear a Vince tag once a year.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
