I must say i'm pretty surprised by this decision,

I get that Dangers family live in Geelong and he's obviously a family man and all that, but he's been at the crows for a while and has some great mates, they're further ahead of Geelong on field by some distance, some of the off field things that have happened there would have made the group even tighter and the Crows could offer more money.

Family reasons to move to Geelong might be:

-His highschool girlfriend who is about to become his wife, wants to move back.

-She is the daughter of an ex Geelong Mayor

-His mother and aunt work for Frank Costa

Geelong has been limited in the salary offer of a reported $800k by what they pay Selwood.

But with the above list of connections who knows if any verbal undertakings have been made for him/his family's life post football...of course they can't be written as they would come into the salary cap.

    Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded.     Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was.
