GOODBYE MITCH CLARK

Recommended Posts

If Mitch ends up wanting to go to the Pies (which seems likely based on the reports to date) then I'd be pretty confident predicting Harry L to the Dees

The Pies will have to commit their first pick to that Moore who is a Father Son selection? so it seems like a player swap is the most likely outcome. Or he may go as a FA and we might get a first round compo, which wouldn't be the worst result either

Sad times with all this Mitch stuff - I really wanted him to come back to the Dees... Time to move on

Id love to see dees get a pick slightly ahead of

The pies and go bang.. Fcuk you we'll take Moore!

but he wouldn't be a FA or UFA

could only come under some special on-the-run afl compo ruling if he walked without a trade

uncharted waters

Sorry yeh should have mentioned if he just walked.... not a FA

We might get better consideration if Mitch just walks - but I reckon a swap is most likely now

I still say we ask the AFL commission to let him go as a FA in exchange for tier 1 compensation. That's a much better result for us than a trade for the footballer formerly known as Harry O. We then have the option of either trading the pick for someone we really need or using it to pick up a top talent in the draft. Either result is better for us than the trade and Collingwood can't complain because they're picking him up for free as a FA. Assuming he doesn't flip and go to another club who offers him more money.

I think they would be tempted, they know we are getting screwed bigtime and essentially it gives us the benefit of a PP without them copping the heat for giving us one, picks 2,3 and 4 would be just what the doctor ordered for us and I doubt anyone would really question it.

Be interesting to hear the AFL's thoughts on Mitch wanting out, especially if they were involved in his 'depression' and 'retirement' earlier in the year. Granting him early FA status, while helping the MFC out, also gives Mitch what he wants, which might stick in the AFL's craw...

Depression or no depression, Clark is beginning to look a lot like a selfish, self centred [censored] and it's highly disappointing.
Guess this is what you get for helping someone out. A big slap in the face.

I wish him and Collingwood no mutual success.

Ugh, people suck!

As I've said before, no one was complaining when he came to us in the first place even though he asked the Lions to trade him as he wanted to be closer to his sick grandmother in Perth. Funny what a bit of extra cash will do.

He is a deceptive and greedy man. Depression or no depression, he has history on this front.

even if they manufactured a ruling of being FA he would need to get a contract of $500,00+ pa for at least 4 years to get band 1 compo

can't see someone taking that risk

We should get a band 1 ppl for him. Picks 2 3 n 4 sounds like alot but imagine Hawks losing Lake and Roughhead, or Richmond losing Riewoldt and Rance, Richards/Franklin, Talia/Tex, Fletcher/Daniher, Firrito/Petrie ect

Any team would take a big hit losing a FF and FB in the same ofr season. Big big compensation is warranted. Hardest positions to find quality players in.

My preferred outcome would be he some how has to sit next year out and during that time he loses interest in playing football again. Thus [censored] himself and Collingwood in one go.

Persona non grateful.

Wish him no luck whatsoever in the future.

Whatever money he make he will blow or lose quickly i hope.

His manager needs a good smack too.

Mitch hasn't played much footy in 3 yrs, all the others you mention are currently playing and healthy (though Fletch may retire). Mitch is worth very little based upon where he is currently at and where he has come from. He's a big risk for any club to take on and the chances of him even playing senior footy again are slim IMO. Assuming he goes elsewhere, whatever we can get for him is a bonus.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
