I have a close friend whose father played in the Saints premiership team and she is very involved with the club. To say she was filthy when Jack got traded to us is an understatement. She could not fathom why they would offload a quality player and quality person such as Jack. Her words to me after an expletive rant about the Saints, their coach and their list management team were ‘you’ve got a good one here ~ this is a trade you won’t regret’. She feels like I did prior to 2021 that she won’t see a premiership in her lifetime.
