Bit reluctant to bag a bloke with depression issues, but this whole business leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Surely one of the triggers of depression would be guilt?

If somebody paid me a fortune and I gave them nothing in return, I'd be feeling pretty guilty, and if I had the chance, I'd feel ethically obliged to do what I could to repay them: i.e., if I really felt well enough to play football, I'd train my arse off over summer and try to make a contribution to the team next year.

He's a bloody talented footballer. As it stands, he may well be unleashing those talents upon us in a few months.

At least we got something for him. It was looking like a complete loss at one stage there but now we have Lumumba who can play footy and is durable.

I wish Clark no success at Geelong until I have a better understanding of what's transpired to see him get there. A tweet asking us all to understand 'in time' is not satisfactory.

Flogger.

'He was just finding it so hard to deal with owing the club so much having been out for so long'.

You make me sick, Mitch Clark.

Hope he enjoys no finals nor success in any of his future footballing endeavors.

And for good measure, I hope he trips on the door on his way out of AAMI park and breaks his most expensive camera and lens. I'm not bitter at all.

Clint Eastwood would have dealt with Mitch Clark by now if they had crossed paths on screen....

So we should send our very own 'Demoneyes' to talk turkey with Clark then!

Nothing original to add - sorry bout that - but I'm quietly pleased we've got Lumumba - seems like a real character, and a decent human being - so many of the things he's been upset about in the past have been on behalf of other people, as opposed to the feller he's replacing, who's main area of concern has been himself.

I also used to think that watching Flying Harry O running off the back flank was one of the pleasures of the game in recent years. Wish he still had his hair, but...

Get the feeling that he and Roosy will get along okay, unlike him and the meat-head at Collingwood.

People like Mitch, who have the unbelievable talent and ability to absolutely **** over those around them to get whatever they wont, dont ever experience this feeling of guilt.

He didnt at Brisbane, Freo and nor will he for us

Weak!
Can't even say thanks for the club or supporters for actually helping him keep up with his fitness and paying him for doing sweet [censored] all for 2 years.
He is a coward, well and truly.

in time you will????????????????

What does that mean?

Tread carefully Mitch you gutless wonder. The karma bus is coming for you. Honk Honk.

Certainly won't feel an ounce of sympathy when he does get injured, unlike the great sadness I feel for the likes of Trenners and Patton with their injuries.

Mitch Clark: @mitchjclark

Couldn't be more excited to be on board with @GeelongCats I can't wait to get into preseason with the boys #perfectweddingpresent

Crickets...

I read several similarly worded tweets from Clark pre season 2014 to raise my hopes.

Turned out to be disingenuous rubbish.

I wish the Cats and yourself no success.

probably hypobole, but tragic turn of events means that arguably our best player only palyed a handful of games in 3 years. So many 'what ifs'.

Mitch Clark, poor type of fellow, I suspect the bludger will have difficulties fitting in at Geelong.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
