Don't forget Rich to come back. Quite arguably the best kick in the league.

Their list is starting to look very promising indeed.

History has as many "good young lists" that have gone on to do SFA as it does ones that went on to be powerhouses.

I agree that they look very promising for the future on paper, but I won't worry about it too much until they're actually flying. Let's not overlook that recent form notwithstanding, they along with us, GWS and Saints have spent a large portion of the year being utterly putrid.

Heard Richo exclaim "yessss!" in the commentary box as Dusty Martin ran into the match winning goal. Love his passion, but I'm not sure channel 7 would want him barracking out loud.

Not to mention they are coming off their worst loss at the GABBA in their history and the Pies were struck down by some key injuries before and early in the game, even though I did enjoy seeing the Pies get belted.

They have some players but, outside of a few, it's nothing to be jealous about.... yet.

Not sure how people have Richmond making the 8. Can't see them beating the Swans.

I maintain they are the worst 16-4 side in the game's history.

Fallen over the line against Richmond, Carlton, Essendon, Bulldogs, GWS, Fremantle and Carlton again. Not even close to Sydney, Fremantle (the first time), Port or the Gold Coast. The only reason they beat Hawthorn is the mental side of things in that match-up. And when they have won convincingly, most of the time it's because their opponent was average on the day, not because they played outstanding football.

Good on them for winning, but deserving of a premiership they are not.

But I guess one has to ask you, tighten, would you like to follow a team that just knows how to win even when they shouldn't. I certainly would be happy to do so.

I was really hoping the Bumbers would lose their close one . I'm still bitter and twisted over the assault on the kid Brad Green in the 2000 grannie . No sane Dee supporter gave us much of a chance of winning but I reckon Sheedy saw the in form Green as an X factor .

I have them finishing 9th

I agree. They won't beat Sydney up in Sydney. Not a chance in hell. Bloody Eagles could still finish in 8th place. All depends on North v Adelaide result next week.

Esendrug are so bloody lucky

they were 1 goal away from falling to 10th spot

all i care is that they miss the finals

and holy [censored] , I didn't realize the Brisbane-Collingwood game was at the MCG

Amazing win by Brisbane, and the Pies will miss the 8 hahaha

You could really appreciate this win by Brisbane when you live in East melbourne such as I do. There was a constant stream of disgruntled Pies supporters leaving the "G" early. it was music to the ears!

Got to hand it to pepper - coach of the year I reckon. Has made a bunch of no names super competitive

You mean 'leppa'?

They lost by 100 points last week. This week they beat a side that was down to one rotation for a half and was missing maybe its 5 best players. Good win for Brisbane, sure, but not even close to 'coach of the year' making stuff.

Not sure how people have Richmond making the 8. Can't see them beating the Swans.

If Adelaide loses to North and Collingwood loses to Hawthorn, each of Adelaide, Collingwood and Richmond finish on 11 wins. It comes down to percentage - granted, Richmond are 7% behind, so they have a lot of work to do, but it's not out of the question.

In actual fact, if that eventuates, then watch out for West Coast, who have us and Gold Coast and winning both those will also have them finish on 11 wins. Their percentage is a tick above Adelaide's, so if Richmond, Adelaide and Collingwood all drop one more game, the Eagles can still make it.

That's all assuming Richmond loses to Sydney. They have played well against them the last few years, and the game is at ANZ rather than the SCG. On current form that's a contest at the least.

But I guess one has to ask you, tighten, would you like to follow a team that just knows how to win even when they shouldn't. I certainly would be happy to do so.

Of course, not disputing that. But I don't put Geelong in the same group as Hawthorn, Sydney or Fremantle and they're as weak a top 4 side as there has been in the last 5-10 years.
