Loving Dawes attitude in his latest offering on the club page. Clearly an intelligenct and articulate man,

I think he is a great asset as an on and off field leader and potentially as the third forward. I recon he is worth every cent we paid for him and I hope the scumbags come to realise what a mistake they made in letting him go.

I am all a quiver antcpating watching a forward line picked from Clark, Hogan, Dawes, Howe, Kent and Fitzy next year.

Just needs to get his body right and injury free summer which will see him a much better prospect in 2014.

Dawes is terrific, absolutely no nonesense and determined to make the best of himself. Loved the line that he think he and Mitch will do some damage.

He must be a chance for leadership this year.

Talks a good game but we have to see it consistently on the field.

Aye, thats the reality of it.

Hopefully we do though :)

Didn't realise he was playing so injured last season. Explains a lot because he started really well but then his form dropped off. Get him fit and I think he will really compliment Mitch and Jesse really well.

Gee if we could just land two experienced midfielders to help out Jones, at least to give these bloke some supply and get the opposition worried.

So over hearing the word consistency.

What about "it is what it is" or "the reality bus"?

There gems I would think!

Me too dc, I will be very impressed when he plays 20 games in 2014 and kicks 35 goals.

Until then it is more MFC hot air

They all do, actually.

It would be a great change.

Would make a very good leader, he is articulate and could communicate at all levels.

The guys would know exactly what the message meant.

So over hearing the word consistency.

It's much easier on the ear than 'competitive'.

It has an air of partial success as opposed to a 'no-hoper' connotation.

How are you awake?

Save for Jones, no Demon has done anything for the better part of a decade.

Dawes gets talked up because we have been in desert for ages, and we will take whatever we can get.

Clark too.

At some point we will cease to roll our eyes at the kinds of things he is saying.

He happens to believe he is part if the solution; that he can help. And with the recent departure of someone who had 10 times the chances to do something, we should keep in mind that while it is frustrating to hear the sweet nothings, it is better than witnessing ten years of sweet nothing.

Dawes will surprise a few I think, and I hope it is as early as 2014.

That IMO is the nub of people's skepticism rpfc.

We have heard it all before over the last decade and a number of others.

I and a quite a few others now believe in what we see.

Talk is cheap, action is the only thing we believe.

Now you can call us negative if you wish but that negativity comes from years of listening to promises that have never happened.

Dawes is probably a good guy and the right type to have at the Dees, yes he makes all the right noises and he has performed on the big stage before.

I will believe when he plays 20 games and kicks 35 goals in 2014.

Woulda, shoulda, coulda

I heard it all

and still my team is the worst in the AFL

words now mean little to me

give me action

for the coin that he is on, the MFC nrrds a player who can play more then 12 games and score 12 goals in a season.

if he such value to the Club off field then make him a coach and get someone on the list who can actual play

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
