Oh thanks for that little gem! Sadly for you others do have opinions.

Some are obviously not very well educated.

Is it true all the cops are poms?Or is it just most of the population there?

How about you take your opinion, put a little lube on it and insert it sideways deep into your a**e.

My work took me to Perth two or three times and I loved it there. A little isolated, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The only thing I didn't like... where I was staying, there were these frogs outside that made a sound like a crying baby... and they did it all night long!!

I'm not and no they aren't, there are a large number who were recruited in 08/09 when they were struggling for numbers with the mining boom and will be another 300 in the next 18 months from UK, Ireland & NZ.

You come up with that many conspiracy posts, who knows.

And you post a load of negative rubbish. I seem to remember you calling me a [censored] for suggesting Roos was coming. Well, what do you know?

I find it staggering that some people couldn't read between the lines of Roos' continued stance of "yet". They only saw "not interested". Year 11 media basics. Manipulative journalism. Quotes can be misrepresented and used to paint whatever the flavour story is. The media hedged their bets with a stance that Roos was not coming. Now they're hedging with the obvious. Roos was signed weeks ago. It's not about Roos [censored]-teasing us. The club didn't want the dead-duck predicament with Craig. Now with the season practically over, Roos claims he's 50-50. I wouldn't be surprised if they wait to announce Roos. Once we have our new assistants signed and sealed, they'll roll them all out.

Please don't refer to anything Dwayne Russell says as gospel.

Couldn't agree more! About Dwayne Russel!

in relation to the getting a court junction remark..

Lets all keep in mind the Dwayne Russel is without a doubt the worst commentator in the game and his opinion holds about as much weight as Caroline Wilson at a comedy night.. the bloke is as interesting as a damp hot dog..

Judd turned Melb down because of our facilities (junction oval) And Aker and Ball were after immediate success..

I go back to the mid 60's This wouldnt make up for the hurt since those days, but its the best news since RDB came back to the club

I'll throw in Templeton, Tilbrook for starters as getting my hopes up, they bombed.

Don't forget George Lakes.

Suggested Demonland activity: go to a thread where everyone is slagging off at each other and post a comment about the summer Ashes series and see if it gets deleted because its not about football.

Judd never turned down Melb because of facilities because he signed for $$$$ at Carlscum before he even indicated to Meth Coke that he was going.

That tour of our facilities was a mere shenanigan for the AFL, the real deal was signed and sealed months before..... bit like Roos??

For ever and ever i will be greatful to PJ for managing this process, raise a statue, name an award after him, he moves into the same tier as McClelland. I really felt in the last two months that the club might have crossed some point of no return now with Roos (i choose to believe it's happening) i think we will have the coach that can deliever the right fit in or eff off speech to the list. And the sydney list was made by Roos, he truly got the most out of those boys and Hogan, Viney, Toumpas, Clark etc have all the silk we need, and will compare favourably or better(i hope for hall to be exceeded by hogan) watts to become goode(maybe 50% good)

People attempting to pour cold water on the promise of a Paul Roos defection to the Red and Blue may wish to think twice when citing Chris Judd and Tom Scully's decisions to leave us. Both of those players made their decisions based on no other reason than their desire for a little more cash - something that I suspect is also a major factor in Paul Roos' decision making process.

Money talks - only this time we're on the right side of the coin.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

What wrong with FROGS?

I have dozens of them in my yard and I really enjoy them and they can make as much noise as they want.

Their sounds are music to my ears, mind you Mrs Frog said I could sleep thought a nuclear war.

But I would not be surprised if you think for some strange reason I like Frogs.

So Roos met with the leadership group last week apparently. No leaks at all. Well done Melbourne. That is a first.

Hey Adam - I can't agree with this.

It wasn't manipulative journalism - many of us observed Roos making the comments on air - prior to games and on On The Couch (including the journalists).

I think everyone appreciated that the club, indeed the AFL, were right into landing Roos - but I don't think anyone really knew what he was ultimately going to do, even the journos.

There seemed to be an underlying logic here that because Hird stated that he had no interest in landing the Dons gig, and then took it Judas style, that Roos would/could do the same thing. That 'logic' didn't make sense to me at the time, and, to be honest, it still doesn't. It seemed to be based on pure 'wish thinking' to me. Simply because one person does one thing, doesn't mean that someone else (with an entirely different character) would do exactly the same thing.

On face value, the publicly known evidence until very recently quite clearly pointed to the viewpoint that Roos coaching the MFC next year would be highly unlikely.

It seems to me that that has now changed - thankfully! - but I hardly think there was an absence of 'logic' to the thinking over recent months that he would not be coaching us in 2014.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
