Gerard Healy, Scully and Scott Thompson then play them at Casey. (Turns out the flag didn't do as much for forgiveness as I thought...)7 points

Healy - "Where's Melbournes running power. Now's the time to produce it." Melbourne - "Bang, Bang, Bang!!" Me .... I like the 3AW call. Just Lloyds little chuckle of disbelief when Oliver kicks his. Having said that. I like all the calls, even Ch7s .... You can hear the sheer amazement of all the callers during the last minute and half of the 3rd. A GF win for the ages ..... The whole football world saw it ..... And it was ours ❤️5 points

Agree with the calls for the Ox and Robbie. im going to add Stephen Tingay. I had a massive man crush on him.5 points

Not sure you're correct here. Healy helped us get Roos over the line originally, has talked up our players, stood up for Goody with all the stuff going on lately, and has made appearances on fan podcasts and the like. I think often people like Healy and Lyon get misunderstood by supporters because they try to be fair and balanced in their media roles.4 points

Not sure we got the rub of the green - some very soft free kicks were paid the Dogs way, Macrae ducked and got one, Hunter got a goal from one where he led with his head. Outside of 2016, Grand Finals are generally pretty even umpiring wise.4 points

Robbie Flower would dominate on a wing in today's game. He is literally built for today's style of footy. Imagine him and Langers on each wing, then Gus slotting inside the guts. Mouth watering.4 points

There'd be 'better' players, but geez, imagine a forward line mix featuring Brown, TMac, Kozzy, Fritsch and Jurrah.. Ooft.4 points

Unrealistic? Fritsch would have marked that ball if Gawn hadn't got hands to it first.4 points

Reckon my Dad's on Triple digits watching that. I don't need the replay it's embedded in my head.3 points

Well it’s mid February and still no draw announced for this season. Honestly the AFL and their lack of interesting in having a good reserves competition for the senior clubs is farcical.3 points

As much as i loved Schwartz or Jakovich in their prime, or any number of others, it’s impossible not to pick Robbie. Best I’ve ever seen play …from any club.3 points

We was robbed! Should have won by 120. When will this club finally put an opponent away? Percentage could mean a lot this year! Sorry, I’m struggling to adjust to being the Premiers. Maybe when my Premiership Cheeseboard arrives it’ll finally sink in?3 points

Maybe just maybe there will be announcement before the next Vic election and Andrews hoping that he will win over all the South Eastern suburbs liberal voters😜2 points

The Ox at CHF is the standout to me. But for one that hasn’t been mentioned we rarely got to see the best of Col Sylvia RIP. Have him play forward and swap on ball with Tracc, he’d be good for 20 touches and 2 goals easily.2 points

Currently watching as we talk. Probably watched it around 15-18 times with numerous sneaky 3rd & 4th qtrs. Best commentary by far, in my opinion, is Dennis Commetti's on W.A.'s MMM.2 points

Wouldn't Luke Jackson have fitted into this category when selected? Or had he a body of work to fall back on that I've forgotten about? Coincidentally, I suspect that Luke Jackson's success may well be the reason a project player like Andrew got picked as early as he did. Not so much because of the immediacy of Jackson, but the way he has impacted the game.2 points

Flower was consistently brilliant in State games , esp with the talent around him (which only amplified his class) So Imagine how good he would be in this 2021 Flag side. Pencil him in for the Norm Smith.2 points

Flower, just so I could see him live and judge for myself. Second, and it is close, would be Jurrah.2 points

All we need now is a wave pool to compliment the sand and supporters will come out of the wood work2 points

I wouldn't pull the trigger off one game re: Gillard. Should have the chance to build for a bit and then push for selection. We'll need physicality and clean hands at the contest. So definitely Purcell (although talk about being thrown in the deep end!). Brisbane's speed worries me, but I don't think we've got much to add in that regard.2 points

Despite him already taking out Ben King in a training "accident", nobody seems to suspect that he is subtly working undercover for his beloved Demons, to whom he shall surely return in a couple of years and become a star for us.2 points

Certainly was an entertainment machine as was Jakovic. ....but in the end it would be Robbie for me. Imagine him on one wing and the running machine Langdon on the other. Would be the goat of midfield groups..2 points

Schwarta in his prime was ahead of Carey at his best imo, but I’d still go for Robbie ……. true ‘poetry in motion’.2 points

I’m so glad our recruits don’t come in under that kind of pressure anymore! how many careers were ruined that way. I truly wish him well but can see no way, with that build, playing ruck he will impact the comp in 2022. Nor should he remotely be expected to.2 points

Rubbish. One was a result of the Petty tackle and he fumbled it. Right place right time and the other was nothing clever. Soft front runner at best. Looks like he is giving it all but scratch below the brian taylor hysteria and you will see him, for what he is. Treloar, Bailey Smith, Dunkley. They all gave up. And wasnt it fantastic.2 points

Good comment - way back even in our relatively successful times in the 1990s and early 2000s, I used to get so frustrated when a player made a great move or play, then left it at that. Little shepherding, second efforts (Kozzie v North early 2021 was such a great example, and Ed Langdon's GF goal, Kozzies under recognised block freeing Track for "that goal" in the GF), or "dummy leads" knowing they would not get the ball but instead drawing their opponents leaving space for others. We saw far more of these selfless acts in 2021 and long may they continue. ❤️💙2 points

This x 100. The game is difficult to adjudicate...so if you're not sure it was an infringement then let it go. Do everything in your power to let the result be decided by the players. AFL games can go from one of the most enjoyable viewing experiences to one of the most painful based on the level of involvement of the umpires. Even if it doesn't necessarily advantage one team over the other, constant free kicks are an absolute spectacle killer.2 points

Weightman actually drags Kossie down with him, trying to get either an in the back or holding free. Glad the ump didn’t fall for that blatant cheating. Weightman for me is fast reaching Mathieson levels of hatred.......................... and that’s saying something.2 points
-
Overall umpires did a reasonable job. Didn't like the Hannan free kick in the third (soft as f***), non-free to Kozzie and the immediate holding the man afterwards to Martin. The two frees against Viney in the third were dubious as well. On the other side BBB was given four frees mainly for arm chops and Brayshaw crashing into the back of Schache was probably a free.2 points
-
Definitely wasn’t a free against Fritsch. Brayshaw crashing into Schache was late and should’ve been a free, but then again so should’ve the high on Kossie where Trac went nuts for the non-call.2 points
-
Max missed. I was almost right behind it and I knew it was a point straight away. It curved late so it looks like a goal somewhat but the ball was well past the goals by that stage.2 points
-
Well actually that's not true. He used his hands to climb and push him forward and away from the contest. It was a free clearly, but WE WON THE FLAG.2 points

If fans can remember how many times they have watched the replay in full or highlights then obviously they haven’t watched enough.2 points
