langford has great hands

He reminds me a lot of Gus. Wish we still had him to show Langford the ropes.

Let’s not over analyse tonight’s game, we played our best game for years five days ago. Tonight’s been far from perfect, let’s just try and bank the win and move on.

Richmond will run out of legs you would think. They have 10-15 mins of fuel each quarter but that 3rd was even less. Just don’t give them a sniff and they’ll be running on fumes

I just want this game to be over now, hopefully, bank the win andnever speak of it again, and hope that Culley is not too bad. That’s it.

K.Pickett, Howes and Chandler our best tonight.

40 seconds to go in the third quarter and Gawn's oath to never take a bounce was SORELY tested.

All that room in front of him and it was definitely the correct thing to do, but no Gawn will Gawn forever.

But gee, I held my breath like someone had leapt for the mark of the century.

Need to prove how good we can be. Come out hARD

thank you Umpires

you have treated us well

This is so frustrating. We are so close to playing some great footy, but poor tackling, some astonishing brain fades and decision making, and lack of pressure is giving the Tigers free ball out wide over and over again.

Do they play the same role though?

Thought Luker is more FF/Ruck.

Culley seems to be forward/mid/wing

Yeah reckon u r right. Time to learn a new role for Luker. I think I heard King say he wanted more players to play diff roles so potentially it could be something to look at.

Howes has the worst decision making brain football has ever seen.

Totally horrible with ball in hand.

Interesting thought - I was thinking Howes was having a great game

Fair enough though the bank is still open

Taylor isn’t ready yet. Give him time at Casey to develop.

Agreed - they’ve gone a bit early on him.

3/4 time

Dees 87-tigers 65

Annoying

frustrating

Infuriating

They’d be smashed by 100 if they played v swans !!!

Missed tackles

Losing contested footy

Kick it to 4 tall forwards all jump together

@Demonland King ?? Ffs 4 talls. Zero crumbing forwards. King??? Really

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
