Just in case any of our Carlton supporter friends might have stumbled onto this thread, please be assured that it has nothing to do with Demonland. It’s just that we’ve been hacked.

The relevant authorities have been informed.

Sausage sizzle reinstated at Carlton fans training day?

Or do they prefer battered savs?

Last fan day I took my son to last year they indeed had a sausage sizzle, quality chipolatas and kranskys in ciabatta bread were on offer 🤤

Additionally, the 1864 cafe serves bombolone, croissants and very good coffee. I would say that the denizens of Parc de Princes probably have the most Euro palate in the AFL 🤌👌 😁

So to be clear, he had his phone hacked, it took a photo of his tackle and sent it to someone or somewhere and the dog ate my homework.

AFL has no problem with that but quietly suggested he resign because no one would believe that kraap.

The world is good again,  nothing wrong happens in the AFL, but the rules need to be changed just in case!

Cleared by the AFL, BUT still resigned??? Yeah right!!

Just the AFL Boys Club trying to hush things up ... probably advised to resign to reduce scrutiny. His Presidential term was up later this year in any event. Was a good president in a commercial sense in getting finances, memberships and sponsorships in order again and again the Blues are flush with money. Nevertheless involved in two scandals (PWC scandal and his tackle on twitter) so time to exit the stage ... it would be damaging if he stuck around. Good that this happened in.the middle of the off-season.

That's the price you pay to be found *cough* "not guilty" by the AFL. Ours was $500,000.

No...that was nothing. Our true price was to be beaten up in the press and shamed about it  it for years...as if we were the only ones who ever did that. Still angry!  Our price was to be the scapegoat for the game and thus protect the gambling money coming in.

I was living overseas at the time and footy was far from my mind but based on what I've been told and read, tanking was just another thing the MFC happened to suck at. Perhaps if we'd been a little less overt in our intensions we'd have saved ourselves a whole lot of grief.

Major sporting organisations the world over care only about profitability and protecting their brand. Just look at FIFA / UEFA / IOC / NFL to name a few.

And not surprisingly a Carlton assistant coach said they tanked but HQ protected one of their favourite clubs.

Yea I remember that. Was it Libratore? Plus Elliot ( the president at the time) had loudly said the blues best result was a loss against the dees in the “ kreuzer cup”

And Plough admitted doing it at the Tigers and Eddie admitted the Pies did and probably every other club did as well.

The only club penalized and pilloried was of course us.

Most times when I've brought that up on here, someone will think I'm suggesting that we didn't do it, completely missing the point.

The fact that the football public seems to forget is that the verdict was not guilty of tanking but guilty of acting in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the competition or something like that? The lasting memory for me being Gillon McLachlan not being able to explain what tanking actually was in his presser. Combined with the media narrative and social media hearsay which exploded around that time, the misinformation spread. It's hard to see how that wasn't the result the AFL wanted all along.

Did I think we did it? Absolutely. Do I think we deserved to be the poster boys of tanking and ridicule of opposition fans to this day? No. AFL let the narrative fly out of control and just another classic example in a long line of bending it both ways to suit their agenda.

Could happen to anyone.  I worked with a guy who forgot to turn his phone off when he needed to pee during a video meeting and gave the entire management team an eyeful.  Don't ask me why he took his phone into the bathroom with him rather than simply leaving it on his desk though.

In some good news for the Blues, the winner of Race 5 on the Gold Coast was a horse called Bosustow (SP $13.00).

Fourth plagetter in the race was Cattogio.

Against this, the winner of the Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m) at The Valley last night was Schwarz.

There's quite a bit more to this than can be said. Note the words "hacked" have been replaced by "compromised" suggesting someone close to him.

Tagging the BUPA executive was clearly meant to meant to damage him further beyond the embarrassment factor. The fact that his statement saying there was no romantic entanglement was a clue.

There is also an issue with the Lo Giudice and Silvagni families that will no doubt receive a fair bit of press coverage later this year. Recall Silvagni's messy exit from the Blues?

People thinking Melbourne are the poster child for media harassment are in for a surprise

Thank heavens for that eh!

Cleaned out the club of a hopeless administration and football department. Paid out Schwab and Neeld and put money into the club when it was stone motherless broke. Replaced the admin and coach with Jacko who got Roos who got Goodwin who got us a flag. It’s simple.  No clean out, no flag. I say thanks AFL.

But of course we were victims. I’d rather be this sort of victim than the “protected species” like Carlton who haven’t been a serious threat this century and have had more pick No.1 than I’ve had parma’s at the All Nations before our games.

Yes we coped it for what many others did and aren’t I happy.😃

Well that is certainly a good way of looking at it.

You have made me feel better.

Are you coming around to my boys Roy and Will, or am I still alone on their potential?

I think Howes will become a regular and I am happy about that.

Interesting take today from Sam Manure on Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, and what his immediate playing future looks like, given he has not been training with the team, and the Bulldogs granting him leave for personal reasons.  I do hope everything is okay with Jamarra but let's face it, if he was at Melbourne, Manure would be screaming "CULTURE PROBLEM AT THE CLUB!"

I don't think Luke has ever got the culture right at the Bulldogs, but it's always hard to tell from the outside.

KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti
