Midfield is so dysfunctional.

VINEY IS A SHEEEIT FOOTBALLER JUST TOTAL GARBAGE

based on the first half you'd have to ask serious questions of brown, brayshaw, hunt, anb, harmes in particular

i can't believe how badly our form has become for the last six, seven weeks

absolute golden opportunity in 2021 being wasted

Lacking composure again. The dogs are making us come at them and then forward running players like Bailey Smith are waltzing out of contests.

Incredibly frustrating to watch.

No doubt the dogs are getting a good run with umps too

We are being umpired out of the top 4. Last week, and again tonight. HQ want Port and Brisbane top 4 and we are the unlucky ones.

Brayshaw no prior tries to get rid of the ball free kick goal to Dogs. Umpire doesn't even know the rule.

Dogs took their chances. We didn't. They're cleaner in possession where we fumble.

Clarry immense, Trac and Kossie look sharp. Defensive can't really be faulted but too many others out for form

We can still win this but it'll take a big effort and someone taking the responsibility to kick straight.

No cutting edge in the forward line. Which team in this years finals would be scared of this forward setup?

Salem turning it over a fair bit tonight.

We are dominating hit outs but not scoring from clearance at all.

Langdons form has been scattered at best since he got concussed. I think we're missing his form from the first half of the season more than we realise.

As usual dont take our chances. You cant have half efforts from players in these conditions (call out to Salem and Brayshaw). Happy to be second to contest and players generally not clean enough.

When is this stuff gonna be addressed?

Edited by Lord Nev

Well, that will be remembered as the half of football when Ben Brown lost me as a fan. We really need to finish off our work. it's reminding me so much of our 2017-18 era where we worked incredibly hard and got no reward for it

It's also hard to tell on the TV, but is anyone else thinking that Viney is supposed to be doing a negating role on their half backs and getting absolutely annihilated?

15 seconds before, Smith threw the ball out of a tackle…..nothing.

Two set shots from 30m out to Brown in a big game and he chokes both times

just not good enough. Deflates the whole side. Trac and Clarry working their [censored] off for nothing

Thought we started to get the better of them in the second quarter then Brown misses a chance to bring us within 4. Killer when they convert afterwards.

Yep I’m considering switching off,

boring [censored] football. Can’t stand watching Umpiring when dogs are playing.

14-4 free kick count at half time. The club absolute needs to send a please explain the the AFL about the lack of free kicks paid for incorrect disposal/throwing.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
