Agree, he is  a specimen and a half and could become the new "Cult" hero!! among the Demon faithful.

Could be the new Cameron Pedersen another who came from Norf.

Whatever your thoughts about Majak Daw's invitation to join the Dees training as a trial for a SSP spot on our list as a KP forward  or back Or ruck trial there is no doubt That any one's heart would be gladdened to see that huge smile On his face on the attached photos of training today.

That was  the Best part of Harley's tryout in 2020 with us showing that in AFL humanity and team culture is still the greatest gift in a Club..

To see Majak out in the track just enjoying life and being considered good enough and appreciated will have given him a great boost.

None of us really know the Full facts about the lows he has been through himself and with his marriage and fatherhood but we may just be able to without too much pressure contribute to his development and growth and enjoyment also adding to some  games of footy which he obviously loves playing.

Lets support him all the way as we did with Harley and make  this ride a Win for all of us especially Majak.

Well said, 58er!!  Agree totally.

[censored] me Majak is an absolute monster of a specimen. Imagine that running at you at full pace - would definitely need new undies!

here’s hoping that he’s got it together mentally now.  We have had far too many looks like Tarzan, Plays like Jane’s over the years. Fingers crossed for a looks like he ate Tarzan and plays like that too.

Yes agree,   with such a physique and huge smile, surely he would have been a positive to norf melb,  it's got to be nothing but positive vibes for the Dees.   Good Luck MD

For those who have been attending the training sessions this off-season, has Clarry been regularly training away from the main group or was it just a lighter session today?

Training in groups of 10? Is one group overtaking another? ?

Good to see Brayshaw in footy boots ...Viney still in runners but looks to be moving well (only photos I know) . I’m happy we have got insurance in Majek...already looks like Preuss will miss opening games & with one of the other up & coming rucks injured...their ruck stocks are pretty thin. A lot of clubs will have a few players missing in first few rounds so glad we have been proactive..

We don't have him yet. He could train with us and be picked by someone else. I would think he would tell us if he received another offer though.

Does invitation to train offer us first dibs? Is there anything stopping someone offering them a contract, or us offering other club’s train on players one?

I have no idea what the rules are but it would be poor form for another club to pinch him from under our nose.

Having said that didn't Freo draft a guy in the middle of a training session with us?

Jack Hannath was that man.

He had a bit of a cult following with us despite never being listed.

It would be disappointing if a player and his manager didn't get the club that offered a chance to train the rights to match any deal, but I don't think it's poor form at all for clubs to sign any player that's available. These train on guys don't have any job security. If a team wants them that's fair enough.

I did read a rumour once that Carlton had a go at signing Sydney Stack once he settled in well training with the Tigers. There's nothing wrong with that.

I think the club that has given them an opportunity (and no doubt has put time and resources into said player) to train should get first right of refusal if an offer comes up.

So this means we're still in the running for Oscar McDonald?

Can anyone explain why Angus Brayshaw is now permanently 23cm above the surface of the Earth?

Is this a product of new high altitude training or has he spent too much time on the low-G treadmill?

It's gonna mess with his GPS data for sure.

Yes I can LG. He's dropped 1.5 kg in the off - season. Hence he now floats. I think you'll find the science backs me up 100%

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
