The Scott brothers seem to get a lot of luck for two blokes that deserve zero of it.

Rayner had been super and thenshanked the last shot to win the game.

Surely the runner would have yelled out waste the 30 and take a shot with a bit of maturity.

both of these games are gonna make things difficult but for once lets take our destiny into our own hands and stop worrying about the results of other teams.

Come on Dees!

North's percentage could worry us with their generous run home.

Having a look at the ladder predictor if we win our next 2 games we should be safe

Thank god the Hawks held on. Im sorry but essenscum have stkilda next week and I do not want them to have any chance of making finals. Plus im sick of people talking them up and mr tird saying they can win the premiership

Geelong hawthorn play each other each week so that could sort things out.

Anyway Adelaide and Sydney have to win. Tomorrow we need to win most importantly but also boost our percentage

My god Brissy really should have won that. What Rayner was thinking I’ll never know. Young kid, he’ll learn volumes from that.

Great young side but they really lacked that composure in the end.

And if he was a Melbourne player - he really should go back and learn his 'craft' in the vfl and have him ready for 2019 ?

could not agree more mate! haha :)

It’s infuriating watching a guy turn around to kick round the body on a 45 degree angle. Not once does it ever fill me with confidence.

He wouldn’t have a chance to go back to VFL, he would’ve been delisted by now

Essendon don't deserve to be in the 8, so it was justice served. Hawthorn on the other hand looked out of place below us on the ladder all season. I"d definitely back us to get back at them, 6 v 7 would be a fitting place to do it.

Terrible results for us so far

Geelong lost and will be outside the 8 with the hawks to come and the form team of the comp in bombers are out of the running! Lions getting up would have been perfect but hardly terrible results

You have to wonder if he compares 20 attempts with each method at practice and uses the result to decide which way to do it in a game.

Gee, football is in terible condition.

Starting to think the bruhaha about 'spectacle of the game' and 'need to change what is happening on the ground' was just a smokescreen to cover the fact that all the real problems in the game at the moment have their source either at HQ or the Broadcasters.

Meanwhile, that's three games in a row with see-saw surges of scoring and decided by less than a goal. I would guess that the actual fans are feeling pretty 'engaged with the content' at this point.

Possibly true. I’d rather him take all his attempts practicing the drop punt on that angle but that’s just the purist in me talking.

Funny how it’s seen a massive turnaround since coaches met for dinner at Gil the shills house

Jeez, I'd have almost parted with a knacker to have seen Brisbane win that game and wipe the grin of that smug little [censored] Scott's face!!!

Anyway I've tipped the Ravens.

After all that, anyone want to modify their view of best result for us in C'wood v Sydney?

(you can tell I'm confused)

I’d rather Collingwood win. With their injury list they won’t go far in finals. Gives us breathing space on swans for next week?

Both have positives and negatives. It's pretty much impossible to gauge what result is better because we can't know how the next 3 rounds will go.

For all we know, Brisbane blowing that win was the win that gets Norf to 14 wins and nullifies our superior percentage in the final round.

I don't really want to play the Swans next week coming off 3 losses. If they win today it releases the pressure valve on them and lowers their stakes for the match against us. Would also be a sign that Collingwood's injury list is starting to take its toll.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
