Very happy. Beat them in every facet of the game. Wasteful with the inside 50s early but that last quarter did a lot to atone for that. Took a good step.

Let me guess the first post disparaging the win.

Rubbish opposition?

We should have won by 100?

The kicking issue again raises its ugly head but a great win to kick enough good goals to compensate.

Foxfooty sucks. Cut short the telecast.

What about the constant replays and coverage of Dew sitting on the bench during live play. Pathetic!

I will take any 11 goal win we can muster.

There was a very solid contribution from most players but still plenty of upside if we can use the ball better. We can and we should.

We absolutely must keep it going next week.

Good game in the end but not without the traditional Melbourne moments.

Cant believe we are one below hawks by 3 %.

We are a way better team with oodles more talent.

That Round 4 game was an anomaly.

Pretty sure they were just paying due diligence to make sure he didn’t require an oxygen tent.

You reckon?

We did well tonight, but last night's battle between Swans and Hawks was worth watching. 2 very good sides.

We are not there yet,regrettably.

Two ways of looking at this, not mutually exclusive

was a good win, against ok opposition , on the road which somewhat makes up for the Hawks tigers losses

however FMD the kicking needs fixing as does f50 efficiency. Could easily have been a 100 pt win - many of those goals were not under pressure - the extra 5-6-7!goals could really have shot us to top 4 and provided a bugger against some losses.

its a tight lipped chargrin win - which is a plus if you think about it as it shows how far we've come and how our expectations are much higher and aligned with possibilities we know are within reach

go dees let's do the same to carrrrtlton

apologies for rant spent 90 mins putting 3yo to bed and missed last 1/4

Did what we had to do and now look forward to next week. If Hawkins this week was a precedent setter then Curnow is looking at a spell for next week’s match.

Thanks Debbie Downer.

I don't think so Wiseblood.

One should keep things in context.

Hawthorn is not Gold Coast. They haven't been since the late 60s. It is a little premature to compare us with a side with 10 flags in 35 years l would have thought.

Maybe it is just me though. My memory of Froggy kicking his goal is a little dim.

Good win put the foot on the throat in the last which was nice but should have been a fare way ahead by 3 quarter time, must beat Carlton then sets up a good game against Adelaide, I feel like we are just starting to get rolling

The vast gap between the two sides was evident from around the five minute mark to the final siren.  We absolutely bossed them, as we should have.

The talent in this side is super exciting, and Fritz and Spargo are very much part of that exciting group.

No, we shouldn't keep anything in context after a 69 point win.  Leave that for another day and enjoy the victory.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
