I'm ignoring this thread as I can't watch the game, I'm only going by stats.

Could someone who is sound of mind give me, and others in the same boat, a brief run down of the half.  It seems like we're having a dip but running into the same problems.

Effort is decent.

Disposal was 50% in first qtr, seemed worse in the second.

No spread, long kicks down the line are all we are doing. No spread, no switching.

Hanballing at players feet all game.

So not much different to be honest other than effort is better than hawks game.

Very depressing watching this live. Richmond look another level.

Same [censored] every single week and another game we conceded 4g in a row. Same bomb long, flawed game plan, easy goals out the back. Dumb coaching. That’s now 22 of last 27 games. Same horrid crap every game, not improving and we’ve gone backwards. Bottom 4 side. Lucky tigers have been just as bad or we’d be 10g down

Playing man on man might be a good idea?

Can always rely on you for an honest, balanced assessment, Doc.  Cheers.

The centre clearances are a real issue as it looks as though Gawn is dominating in the ruck and we are not taking advantage of that at all.  Going simply by stats it also looks like Harmes, ANB, Brayshaw etc are giving us next to nothing at the moment which just isn't good enough.

Hopefully something clicks and we turn the corner in the second half.

Sorry Wise.   It would take on absolute miracle to turn this around.

I saw enough.  I figured the same issues from last week have been rearing their ugly heads again.

Has our defence been any better?

Yes, but when we put all our eggs in the contest basket, that of course leaves free Tigers players to link up and walse thru. Its the exact same issue. If we dont win the ball (which we haven't and fumbled all game) its a free for all. Damn has to burst at some point.

Ive switched off.

It’s certainly finals pressure.  Our list needs some work.  Our bottom 6 are not as good as Tiges.

Game not over.....

NEVER TO PLAY ANOTHER GAME

You realise if we are to play finals those are the type who need to lift, they just need more time, they are still young and all 3 have shown at times they are capable

We  haven't been poor. In fact if we played like this against the Hawks at half time we'd be in front by a bit. It;s painful for me to say this but they're just really good. Only way we win is if they continue to miss goals from the goal square. This game feels like Queens Birthday 2010. They're better but we can compete.

Too much deadwood.

I wont renew membership unill garlett takes a pay cut.

IMO a poor comment, leading goal kicker last year and lead us to one of our two victories against Brisbane. There are others that deserve more criticism than Jeff. Easy Target.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
