What I want to know is who was that dopey fan that Gawny picked out in the crowd, only to jump up and run left just as Max kicked...??!  Needs to be named & shamed, I say!  (And here we were, blaming it all on poor ole Max!  LOL)

Goal Kicking aint that hard , but as we have seen some players have no idea

It's this simple!!

Take aim for something behind the goals ( The posts have NO relevance)

Run reasonably straight and kick through the ball.

Sheeit I used this method and kicked plenty in an Illustrious Career!

It aint that hard!

Agree with you, Vagg. Most unfair, infuriatingly rude, inconsiderate and distracting for poor old Max - who was going about an expertise routine against such odds.

Can I assume you are 208cm tall? Gawn needs to seriously improve it but I assume the mechanics of kicking at an extremely tall height are not as easy as at others.

I was driving past Gosch's and saw Max working on his runup. Managed to sneak a couple of pics. Looks like he's improved it out of sight.

Pretty sure. There were a bunch of jackals and hyenas just down the road so I knew I was near the Holden centre.

Also saw Tarzan (Hunt) and a wounded buffalo (Viney). So it had to be Gosch's.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
