Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Could do a lot worse, but where would he play? With Tmac going forward, whose spot does he take?

As long as we could get him on a dirt cheap contract, I'd have him as depth who can come in when we have injuries or poor form.

I wonder if we've had a chat with him or if he's just marketing himself?

Funnily enough I'd back Crameri to kick more goals in a season than Watts, if both had full seasons.

6'3" strong marking medium forward who is said to be a hard runner.

29Yr old, Powerful build, experienced, but with injury history.

Geezus, never seen so many 'Landers agreeing with each other.....

Short contract on not many bucks... not a lot to lose.

I will add my "why not" to the list.

I think we’d all like to see Tim Smith play some games next year but on face value, Crameri would be a clear upgrade.

Relationship with Goody and Macartney already so lower order draft pick? 99 Games and 166 goals - 1.8 game average. Would've been a bit more if he hadn't missed 2016 cause of the doping ban, and most of this season cause of hip surgery. Good choice for depth if he's fit and if Weideman doesn't perform this year or there's injuries.

Is he better than pick 47?

If not, I'd still rookie him. If he's does well next year could give him one more year.

How many rookie spots do we have?

Handy rookie / depth player.   5 years in a row kicking 30 plus goals -  knows where they are.  If hip is right could be a very handy addition should we have a few injuries next year.   However, in this era of Bulldogs/Tigers small fwd pressure maybe he's going to be unlucky....

I have complete faith in the FD, but if this happened I would begin to waver

His last 2 years have been abysmal, the game has gone past him, he wouldn't know forward pressure if it came and bit him on the arse

LOL.

Did your homework as usual.

One year off with a ban and the other with a bad hip injury.

Read the article.

I edited my post as originally had one year then 2 forgot to put either side of the ban,  his year before the ban was ordinary,  and at his age a hip injury is a danger, my opinion still stands, you can disagree,.

Don't need to read the article, if FD go with him, will be disappointed

Of course I edited my post 2 minutes before you posted but you were too busy readying a personal attack to notice, great input into the topic

His best was pretty handy but I'm not sold on his usefulness to us.

I'm very keen to see how Hannan in particular develops. Bobbed in and out of it this year, with some pretty flat periods and even a few stinkers, but if a bit more experience and confidence sees him staying involved more throughout games then I think he could be a real highlight. Just the extra 10% game time will make a difference.

Overall, our like the way our forward line is coming together. A couple of marking talls that have to be taken seriously, a bit of variety and unpredictability with Garlett and Hannan, and then a really good collection of midfielders who can play well up forward, obviously led by Petracca and now even has Balic added to the possibilities.

On a very low dollar contract and on the understanding that he may well play most of his time at Casey, I'd join the 'why not' line for Crameri, but I've got no real motivation for us to get him.

And this would be the sealer for me.

We unfortunately have a forward line chock-a-block with players who apply bugger all defensive pressure, with Hogan being a major offender. No point bringing in a bloke who will add nothing to fix that problem.

I really don't know why I'm bothering as you've already admitted you don't care to read and learn prior to posting.

Crameri's 2015 was pretty consistent with his previous years.

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f
