It's Tiger Time...according to a MFC coach

So here is our forward line coach on Saturday clad in a tigers scarf, announcing it's tiger time. I've been shot down by a few ppl this week on here saying I was making too much of Goodwin suggesting he would celebrate with the Crows if they win. Surely you look at this and shake your head in disbelief

I think you're making too much of this too mate.

Chaplin played for them just recently so you can hardly blame him for still having a close affinity to the Tigers.

Do you also expect Jordan Lewis not to attend the Hawks 10 year reunion of their 2008 GF win? This is an absolute joke, our club isn't involved so he is there supporting his old club and friends, I have no issues at all with him wearing the scarf, he was barracking for the Tigers to win after all.

No one at the club cares for the club..it's a manufactured group that lacks soul

...

As long as that is acceptable, this club will go f.a. nowhere

It worked out well for us when blokes like 'Cuddles' Connelly, dare I say it the great man Jimmy and the like (good Melb people) ran the place.

And we also had our key forward miss most of the year, not to mention other injuries.

You have to be kidding yourself if you don't believe ex players aren't going to have a soft spot for teams they played for, doesn't mean they barrack for them when we play against them. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Bernie Vince was there somewhere barracking for Adelaide. ?

He also coached terribly this year and our forward line was disfunctional in most matches. Bloke is having a laugg, cashing in a paycheck from Melbourne and barracking for the opposition. Wonder what his feelings were during the ANZAC eve match

Took us from 1944 points to 2035 points despite Hogan out for most of the year, Watts turning up in bad condition, no Vanders and Kent falling off the wagon. Developed ANB and Melksham in to pretty solid half forwards. Got a fair bit out of Hannan. And for a lot of the year our forward pressure took a big leap forward.

There's issues for sure - talls getting in each others way, not enough leading up at the kickers and inconsistent tackle pressure. But Chaplin's coaching didn't make things worse than last year.

What is embarrassing is that you'd do that and that so many of our supporters think it's OK to have senior club officials showing active support for the opposition. Other clubs wouldn't accept it. TONY SHAW lost a bet and had a Tigers scarf on at Richmond open training. The comments that flew his way, a media man and former player, were in stark contrast to the apathy being shown here. You might be OK with it, I'm not and the soft underbelly exists at the mFC coz those in charge don't understand the culture and are there merely to be paid. Your result...meek performances like Rd 23 2017.

And I cheered loudly when they kicked away from Crows.

I'd be more concerned with the company he's keeping..

Too right Deemented !!!  But wasn't it Toby Mitchell who was suspended by the Bandidos for associating with Jake King ??

By the way , well done on cracking the 1000 posts !!

IF the Dees were in the Grand Final then I'd hope Cam Bruce, Brad Miller, Adem Yze etc were all there watching and cheering the boys on.

I'm more concerned that they wouldn't be than that Chaplin - 1 year post retirement - was watching the Tigers.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
