This is without doubt one of the worst penalties we have seen for a minor matter.

Appeared to be a push to the shoulder, which slipped up to the neck. Nothing in it.

Feel sorry for the bloke.

Much worse of course, an open palm push to the upper body, than a boot to the face which was high, medium impact and reckless but only gets a fine for a 3 time offender? Yes it is all making sense to me.

doesn't pass the sniff test

and ollie wines gets nada

and....and....and....could go on all night with the lack of consistency and the whole appeal process

i wonder if the afl can see the farce in the whole system......not that they'd admit it

The outcome in the end was ridiculous I agree but with bad record not giving him the option to reduce to 1 why in the hell would you contest it?

Terrible advice

But its a shocking decision.

The AFL is very slowly killing a game that use to be the best in the world. The MRP have literally no integrity and has become a shambles.

If it wasnt for my love for the Dees I think i would stick to only watching local footy.

Not even worth a 3 dollar fine. Should've slapped every one of the tribunal members on the way out.

There is no common sense anymore, how Redpath ends up with 3 and Wines gets zilch is absolutely mind boggling.

So frustrating for supporters,  the games custodians need to take a good hard look at themselves, surely something has to change, next season with the farcical structure of the MRP.

What crap! MRP proving they are from outer space. Bad week for Doggies fans, with Redpath copping far more than what is fair and Greene getting off (not to mention Wines) ...

Where can I find a vision of it?

I couldn't find it in the game highlights. I do have access to the replay. Does anyone know when it occurred in the game?

EDIT: Just seen it in the Monday wrap, not to worry.

Feel for the Doggies, but we've had our share of BS MRP results this year too and there was very little media outrage.

2 weeks was overs but he had a loading for a bad record, so it makes sense from that perspective.

We need the Dogs to lose at least 1 more match so I'm not unhappy with this outcome.

Yeah it's a rubbish decision.

The MRP is a joke. The Wines incident was bar far worse, along with several of the gut punches (to the floating ribs or liver region) I've seen this year that have passed.

Is it just me or has everybody that has shown physical aggression towards Phil Davis been suspended this year?

Have heard the guy is a massive wuck fit of the highest order. Surely that would be the main argument put forward at the tribunal in a players' defence?

The grading system and the MRP should be scratched. It was supposed to make penalties more transparent and yet it's even more laughable than the old tribunal. How Wines walked is a mystery all its own. But Redpath's three weeks, like Hogan's two weeks earlier this year, are hopelessly out of line.

As bad as it is, they should just go back to tribunal hearings and every one of those f---wits on the MRP forced to walk a lap of the G on Grand Final Day while they're pelted with rotten fruit.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
