Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Clayton Oliver incident

I sincerely hope there is no apology forthcoming. Despite Clarry being naive in wearing his heart on his sleeve and engaging the supporter, there no need to play the game of 'morale high ground'. I am informed that the club was seething internally about the medical reports from the blues doctor earlier in the year. Then Murphy wanting an apology after the Carlisle incident, it all points to Carlton being a hyper sensitive club (internally and externally). For far to long we had a group of introverts on the field and now we have a club that is prepared to take on the big moments and stand up for themselves, there is no point taking a backward step now.

First time (in a long time) - so long ago my account's been deleted!

I was sitting directly above the incident and the imbecile tapped Clarry's chest at least three times. How that's 'incidental' is anyone's guess...

I hope you can get that information to the club & media somehow.

I just wish Oliver would learn not to respond and move on.

I agree with this, and he will learn as he gets older.

But gees players don't need to deal with try hard loser fans getting stuck into them over the fence. Like seriously you fat [censored], go home and polish your concrete mailbox.

Only for things that don't require a decision bb.

This bloke may go down as the worst AFL GM in history.

Still he is probably busy today sorting out the extra curricular activities of his staff

What the fan did was disgusting and he should be banned from attending any AFL games, however in terms of where the attention goes it will always be against Oliver so he does himself no favours.

It's not incidental when you get up off your seat and plant your ugly face into the personal space of a player.

All the time spiting, breathing germs and hurling personal abuse.

I hope Vero have a good look at their employee and he gets a reprimand for bringing his company into disrepute.

He admitted that he did......where were the security bully boys?  I am sure if it was a neatly dressed man, or a woman, they would have bundled him out quick smart.......but bogans stick together.

Isn't he representing the AFL at Le Tour?

Fans do not touch a player, full stop.  Too simple for you Gil?  Want a survey?

Thats just the point tho Sue. What the hell is incidental? Did Oliver see the guy touching him or was he blindsided and felt the touch? In other words did he know what was actually touching him? Blunt instrument for example? A knife? Could have been anything! You cannot make contact with player under ANY circumstance. Fine this idiot 5000k and ban him. While you at it put the fine up to 50,000!

I'm old enough to remember Monica Seles being stabbed by a 'fan' during a match.

There is absolutely no excuse for even 'incidental' contact, and when the MFC make a statement on this incident, I hope that's exactly what they say. That's the only reply this [censored] deserves.

MFCSS tells me this is not going to end well.

Amazing the culture we have today. If I was the supporter I would be apologising quietly through the club and in turn Oliver would apologise. Both parties would move on ...lesson learnt

To allow contact through the media is madness not to mention bringing my employer into it.

Some employers I know would sack you for mentioning it in a non-employment context.

The clown says he didn't swear and it was incidental. So in his version, he is playing it down to suit himself. I would not believe a word he says and he has no right to get up and touch a player. Clarry did not land in row one,Mr Aquiro got out of his seat and leant over the fence to gave Clarry a spray and touched him, now he wants an apology.  I hope he cops a fine and is banned from the G for the rest of the season

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
