The long suffering Demon in me asks "can they put in four quarters today?"

I guess we will know in an hour or so.

Also can we just acknowledge Jetta's effort on Boyd in that second quarter?

Any word on Jetta? Didn't look good going into half time.

He is easily one of our most important players and was giving stringer fits before coming off the ground.

There have been a few dodgy decisions our way, but the Dogs have had a few too.  Free kicks are 13-13 so we haven't been given that much of a rub.  The sooky sooky la la Dogs fans make it worse than it looks.

If JoeBoy gives his usual spiel about Tyson 'butchering' the ball, he loses the right to write his 3 word analysis. His kicking has been spot on today.

Enjoying Oscar's work so far. Clearly has worked on his kicking and decision making. Still needs to bulk up though.

Despite Bugg's poor kicking (which improved today) hes goes hard at the opposition and the ball.

I don't mind your input. I see your point... but we need mongrel and pricks like that. We were pushed around for a decade. It's good to see us push back.

Today is the "strongest" I've seen Melbourne for years, not backing down etc

That's why Buggs flop stood out so much.

The whole way he blindsided Wood then took a fall was really ordinary in my opinion.

You guys have got them on the ropes by playing good strong football and not taking any sh!t, no need for Buggs antics.

Tommy Bugg was named on the ground this week, not on the bench which is where he often appears.  That told me the coaching staff liked his game style last week. Today he's taking it a notch higher, but to me it's lifting the team and bringing results.

It may be unsociable, but I've hated being everyone's biatch for way too long now.

The frees have gone our way because we are first to the ball - has been one of our problems with the umps in the past.

Melksham is playing on Johannisen who takes the Bulldogs kickouts and he's had 6 disposals.

We've kicked 8.6

Think about that for a second

Fair enough. I can only go by what I hear on the radio up here in NSW. I'll no doubt see it later.

I'm lucky my dees bet has paid out because we were over 24 points in front. But I think it will be a very very close match. Certainly not a gimme.

I thought it was just me that was noticing them sook up wise. Jeez they are getting stuc into Wattsy for no good reason. They win one flag and now they are a vocal bunch. They are just used to getting the rub and don't like it when it doesn't go their way!

Reverting to type ducked for three frees just before half time dumb umpires. Doggies trademark duck and chuck

Obviously you guys are loving Bugg, but that was pathetic. Blind sides Easton Wood, then goes down far to easy for a free shot at goal.

Guess you can say it's smart play, but I don't think anyone wants that sort of behaviour or play rewarded with a goal.

But other than that, you guys are all over them and will win this.

Doggies in real strife in missing out on the finals

Blame the umpire.

You don't get a disposal from kick ins as far as I'm aware.

EDIT but great work from Melksham!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
