And yet again, Tyson was outstanding. A few weeks ago, 'Joeboy' called him the most overrated player he's ever seen in a Melbourne jumper.

Well well. Tyson is a star.

Phew!

We did what good teams do, toughed it out in the last and won ugly.

Our Captain lifted, and we did much better in the clearances during the final term.

Been overseas for weeks and I am looking forward to getting to a game next week.

Go Dee's

My dilemma for tonight.

Do I watch the replay of Port Adelaide v Melbourne or do I watch Usain Bolt?

Bolt only comes around once every 4 years, but wins over Port in SA only come around once every 16 years.  You know what to do WJ...

Solid win. Not showtime stuff across 4 quarters but good teams gut wins out.
If we win next week then my expectations will have been exceeded. I thought 10 for the year was our ceiling.
I still reckon we aren't going to September. I think if we do get in, we might get exposed a bit as I don't think we are ready just yet. However, I won't complain if we do pull off a miracle.

Horrible to watch for the middle 2 quarters but solid win in the end. Strong finish even with the poor kicking for goal.

Not sure whether they were just terrible or we were good - but honestly both teams were just plain sloppy for most of it.

Jones came back into the game strongly, Tyson continued his consistent form.  I thought we were pretty even across the board.  Hogan, Vanders and Harmes were probably the only ones who didn't contribute much.

I'm not an Omac fan but he played pretty well tonight, turned it over a couple of times but his positioning and run was quite good. Looked more assured.

Tom Mac was clean and confident.

I thought Brayshaw was also important in that first half, looked a bit better tonight.

Watts goal in the 3rd was just so crucial...

We're 20 rounds into a season and are still in finals contention. How far we've come.

Thank you PJ and Roosy, you two have resurrected this footy club.

Didn't he kick our one goal for the 3rd. It's a bit of a blur!

it was the steadier anyway. We were being hammered and he took a great mark and finished it off

Well now you can tell when Melbourne have really improved when they beat a bunch of thugs.

For the 2nd week in a row.  The Roos mantra of drafting big bodied competitive players has turned us into the bullies.  Next year we will be crushing teams physically and mentally.

Wow can u imagine a scenario if we win next week and beat geelong and we sit around sat night watching nth and gws play barracking for gws and that game could decide our fate.

Im just rapt we backed up from last week. 3 yrs ago that probably wouldn't have happened. But geez how good does it feel to be a melbourne supporter again? Now the media will be talking about we can be the only team to get in the 8.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
