What about what the WORLD ANTI DOPING AGENCY said??????????

I dont read the herald sun, at all, ever.

And you feel sorry for them? Wow, words fail me. They deserve ZERO sympathy. They only deserve to be raped of their players.

That interview has reminded me of Melksham.  I just hope he turns out to be a decent player, especially as we gave him a 4 year contract which almost no-one has had before at mfc.  Atm only Jones and Viney have that and they are a trillion classes above.

If we get Hibberd I hope it is not for 4 years as a poster suggested earlier -  longer term contracts should be reserved for top players and neither Melksham nor Hibberd are that imo.  If I recall correctly, EFC was/is offering them 2?

I would prefer players come in on our 'usual' contract of 2 or 3 years until they prove themselves at our club.

We are not a destination club yet but surely we have passed the point where we have to offer inducements (more money, longer contracts) to come to us especially if they are B players at best.

I think it was my post that suggested that could be the case so I shall elaborate a little.  I heard an interview with Goodwin during last year's he trade period and our interest in Melksham.  Goodwin was asked whether this was his 'captains choice' (a phrase somewhat in vogue last year).  He deftly side-stepped the question and waffled on about the need for a backman etc.  I had the impression it was his 'captains choice' hence my phrase about 'pulling rank'.

Didn't mean to start a rumour - just clarifying how he sounded to me.

Realistically, tho it wouldn't be the first time a coach has exercised his 'captains choice' - it happens all the time.

Well I hope it doesnt appear  happen twice in relation to Hibberd. If he is everything we want to fill a need and the footy department are in total agreement then fine.It just seems to me he isn't as good as he was 3 years ago circumstances accepted.

Roos was always said to have thought draft picks were over rated, and that he was happy to trade for a known quantity.
Seems in this case that Hibberd is the latest target. He certainly fills a gap in our list, and who isn't happy seeing a more physical Dees now?

interesting article by David Zakaharis on afl.

states he is worried he is leaving but then states as he is contracted he must seek a trade .

Sounds like he is flagging Essendon  official position which seems to be at variance with the thought they can walk

No i'm just not and idiot and reasonable. I also have connections to Essendon.

So you have connections to Essendon, enough connections to know that Hibberd isn't leaving, yet you have no idea what the players took. Surely if you have connections then the first question to ask is 'what did the players take'!

For me your opinion goes one of two ways, either you do have connections and you are right about Hibberd, or you have no connections as you don't know what the players took. Although there is a third possibility, you do have connections and you have asked what the players took but wont say because either it was TB4, or you aren't silly enough to buy into the 'it was all fine, it was thymomodulin, it was all cleared, nothing to see here' baloney that the club has been spouting for the last few years.

Neild - Toumpas - Wines, let us never speak of that day again! And don't mention it around Todd Viney!

I am surprised in the clubs interest in Hibberd. I base this on this years rookies, Wagner and White who have both surprised me albeit in a good way. Wagner is poised takes a good overhead mark is a left footer and can only improve. White is similar in that he is a raking left footy and comes with a great rap from Macca who will tell anyone he speaks to that Whitey is a keeper. I thought both would be elevated to the senior list depending on who goes.

Not nearly enough to draw comparisons to the dawks though, to be fair.

Still, looking forward to Salem using his skills off a wing. The forwards would be licking their lips.

We have to many left footers with no right side whatsoever. And it's costing us out on the ground.

Not sure we need another one

None of what I have said is speculation or guesswork. I'm just relaying what I get told from Essendon coterie members and some bloke that is kind of tall, wears glasses, nearly played 400 games for Essendon and now works there. He isn't that important though.. he doesn't know much.

I wouldn't concern myself braysure. The responses you are getting are pretty stock standard here.

If you had of posted that your source said that Hurley is likely to come to Melbourne. you would have received a 100 likes and lauded as an oracle. Post anything to the contrary, and you'll get accused of being a troll.

How's Simon going BTW?

Why would Essendon Coterie members (several?) and a senior ex players share confidential information with you?

What would be the reason for that and did they ask you to keep it quiet? How would they react to you betrayal of their confidence, if they found out what they told you was relayed to posters on an opposition club's supporter board?

It's really not a matter of coterie members sharing information, it's more a matter that coterie members don't or at least shouldn't have information to share.

In most cases they think they are on the inside but in fact are not. A well run club would never share vital information with anyone that's not involved.

Not saying EFC are a well run club by the way.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
