really?

Hence my "get out clause" of "but that's just me, I fear". However, if you elongate that WB logo El Greco style, hold it at arms length and half close your eyes...

So there a at least two!

OD, are you on the double malt this early in the day? I mean, you can't even use the typo excuse as the X and K are nowhere near each other on the keyboard ;-)

Great marketing campaign, well done MFC.

I dunno,I loved the old school 70's/80s demon the best, but this one is OK

I still have coasters on my desk with the second logo. Rather old, worn and well-used. (Bit like me, I suppose! LOL)

the shape of the badge looks like an acorn .. I think they could've done better with that part.

Yep. Reminds me a bit of an upside down beanie...

Looking at those you would have to say we have been confused for some time.

We must be close to holding the record for Logo changes.

OD, identity confused?

surely it stems from no real home base. just play from the MCG, which was ONCE home to WON footy team. not any longer.

..... we need a home base desperately, to consolidate our broad based identity.

or an up-turned demon beanie

It's going to look great on merch. Significant upgrade in that respect.

Agree with Clint that some small reference to Demons would've been good, but they are clearly full steam ahead with establishing the city connection and the design reflects that. Less alternate references.

It follows the KISS principle perfectly.

I don't mind the logo, but some slight reference to Demons possibly with little horns on the top or something would be better.

We should have two logos like the Cats, this one is great for formal purposes but we need a "Demon" logo for marketing to kids, especially on kids merchandise like tshirts, school bags, pencil cases etc

I like the whole new vibe of it and the promotion; old school, yet tougher & more urban. IMO cute little demon horns & pitch forks, etc. detract from that.

"Melbourne" really huge, good colours + MFC letters is what we need.

Of course it'll all mean squat if we get thrashed, but look fabulous if we win.

I like it. It's understated, but that's all it needs to be.

It's a pretty timeless style that should be fashionable many years from now. That's not to say there won't be other inceptions, but it's nice to have a logo that should be able to live into the future and complement other forms that may evolve along the way.

Great to see Daisy with Jonsey on the promo. Our two captains!

Daisy is a great role model and someone to aspire to for the little 'aussie kick' girls ...might make them little Demons (and convert parents and siblings)

Daisy needs to ink up a bit more

How do you know she hasn't?

I might be the only one here but......Has someone transported me back to the fifties?

It looks like what I had on my duffle coat so many years ago.

It looks like crap and I was quite happy with the shield one

Don't like the new polos tho.

Daisy is one of the greatest assets this club has, she plays great football, is a great leader, has a passion for the club, can speak well in public, and is easy on the eye. The power of that combination in bringing in sponsors and new supporters, especially those of the fairer sex, is immense. Great to see the club involving her in the marketing and putting her side by side with the mens captain. Makes me proud to be a Dee with the initiative and passion we have shown for the womens game!

I don't like it. Kinda boring and I'm not sure how they would come up with that shape, looks like a bellend.

But I'm sure it'll grow on me when it stops rubbing me the wrong way...

I don't understand why we always have red merchandise, blue merchandise with red would look far better.

Like Daisies top. Will be interesting to see if that is a womens top of an option for the blokes to.

More than just the logo itself, the launch of it gets space in the mainstream media. In the MFC's previous incarnation, this would have barely rated a mention. To me the launch shows we are back - well and truly - on the AFL media's radar. For me that is a refreshing change and can't be a bad thing.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
