Did Viney punch Hill in the face? he could be out..

No, but he may have jumper punched Suban, who would have deserved it and more.

lol vintage Misson

Can we please fire that pretender and get someone in that knows what they are doing FFS

How do you know it's Misson's fault and not Tyson's himself? After all, nobody is better positioned to know how his muscles are responding to treatment.

I was going to say the same thing, started typing, and then thought to myself, I have no idea how to even start spelling this blokes name.

Because it also happened to Kent and Salem

Final game of a wasted season. Kent to come in to the side if fit.

Play the kids, take the loss and move on to 2016.

he's underdone, & not worth risking his Hammy, after such a serious muscle injury.

All farewell games ? McKenzie didnt play in the reserves

yes, I think so DN9

time to think of the list ins & outs.

#edit : Mckenzie tagging with Viney to take $cully back to the bench, again... now one last time,,, shall we dance, tommy ? hmnm.

Outs:

Newton - he is lazy not just that chase down on De Boer he wasn't going to get there but throughout the game I noticed he lacks 2 way running

Spencer - concussed

Matt Jones - the disposal is really getting beyond a joke you only stay if there is a run with roll on one of the GWS runners

Nate Jones - injured

Ins:

Kent - desperately need some line breaking speed

Brayshaw - should be better for the week off and has shown enough

Jamar - yes he has earnt the right of a farewell game IMO

Lumumba - very stagnant off half back today and more run needed if he isn't right Harmes comes back in

Posted

Out: Jones, Jones, Spencer, Newton, O. McDonald

In: Brayshaw, Riley, Dawes, White, Harmes

Ins:

Which he doesn't have at the moment after missing a large slab of the year. 2 or 3 weeks down the track, perhaps, but going by his form at Casey, he's not ready.

At least White has shown enough form to suggest that he should be trialled in the last game!

Ins: Jamar, Terlich, McKenzie, Bail, Riley,

Outs: Jones (inj), Spencer (inj), Vince (inj), Stretch (omt), Neal-Bullen (omt),

Can we bring back Neeld as well?

On form on Saturday he isnt fit

Drop Newton, Spencer M. Jones and N. Jones for various reasons.

Bring in Riley, Jamar, Fitz (if fit) and McKenzie. If we can't manage Fitz then White (if they can wrangle a promotion for him).

It'll be Brayshaw, Harmes and Dawes - maybe JKH, though not sure who the 4 out would be.

Don't want Kent back. No point even risking him, just get him cherry ripe for pre-season.

And the guy has played a few quarters in four months.

2016 is what he is about.

Posted (edited)

Imo the club should go out with the intention of winning this match and winning well. Best squad possible. We can't undervalue a strong win to end the season.

The only sympathetic "in" I can bare is Jamar. Bring back Kent and Brayshaw for ANB and Newton, Jamar in for Spencer.

Jones will get up.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
