I've been to Simmonds stadium and Manuka oval this year so I may as well go to a game in the Melbourne CBD.

Who knows, maybe we might get our first win at this stadium for 8 years, a stadium located a whopping 7ks away from where we train.

No, seeing the players have checked out, shut up shop and turned off the light then so have I. Will go to the finals and watch skilled, committed teams that actually care and play for finals success.

I thought the footy finished a couple of weeks ago!?

As I was walking out yesterday I said there is no way in hell I'm going to GWS game, hate docklands and right now I hate my football team. Come sunday week will probably go for one last excruciatingly painful day before the good stuff starts for Demon supporters, the off season! The off season is the only time I seem to have any hope about this team ever getting out of the chasm they've been in for 8-9 years now!

I'll be there with my dad, probably sitting in the nose bleeds looking down at acres of empty seats on level 1. We'll be the ones telling the players exactly what we think of them and their pissweak performances.

I'll be there cos my dad is travelling up for it.

We love three hours away from each other and to be honest it's the only reason I'll renew next year.

Mmmm..... whatever floats your boat.

In all honesty if that is the mood you will be in then do not go.

Go somewhere and enjoy the day with your father.

It will be much better to have good fathers day memories of time spent with him.

Not a crap afternoon at the dome of death.

Please remember he will not be around forever enjoy him now.

I won't be there, I've got to work. Even if I had the day off I would be 50/50 on going. That performance on the weekend was an insult to the fans. Bruise free footy returned for the first half of that game and even the second half was pathetic.

Ha ha, feckin auto correct!!!

On a side note, will we be able to buy reserved seats for this game?

Don't think there will be a shortage Gorgoroth.

This will be a high scoring game.. there will be absolutely no pressure from either side.

You don't need to apply pressure to Melbourne. Melbourne applies pressure to itself.

There could seriously be less than 10,000 people at this game.

Great fixturing by the league to have Melbourne vs GWS, two sides certain to miss the finals at the start of the year, playing at Etihad late on a Sunday in the final round of the year.

They could probably play it in Bali both lots of players are already there mentally.

I predict a record low crowd for the MFC.

Shame its our home game but then the players are killing this club. When they play to an empty stadium they might get the msg.

Nah they will just collect their fat pay cheques and head off on their end of season trip. Pina colada here we come.

I'll be there.

Haven't got any expectations in particular, but hoping to see more of that Hogan potential.

I've seen a reasonable smattering of both good football and horrible football on field this year, but the consistent thread in the games I've been to has been Jesse has done some exciting things out there. He's a pretty good reason to turn up to watch us play, and tbh we haven't had that many of them in recent years.

Sad, cynical and even more sad, accurate jnr

From my "footy injury" post:

"I've just finished booking flights/accommodation for the final round... will take him along to the Friday training and then to the game against GWS on the Sunday (there's a nice symmetry there as the other game we got to see was the opener against GCS - let's hope results go the same way)."

So yep, will be going as any result will at least take my son's mind off his injury even if just temporarily.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
