With regards to the radio interview link, my god that Peter Jackson is great with interviews. Do yourself a favour, and listen to the pre-gamer.

Absolutely brilliant, and eye opening in regards to the Adam Goodes situation also.

Please sign this guy for 10 years. Legend.

Great interview, great game, great bloke. Could have easily walked 2 seasons ago, but wanted to stay and repay faith. If only Howe had same integrity.

You know Howe is leaving?

Remember Watts didn't sign up again until the end of the season.

If you don't know for a fact Howe is leaving, then questioning his integrity is just pathetic and shows you have little of it.

My pleasure fellas (link providing)...... Trying not to get too carried away (like I said our players did after each win so far this year), but that was the best MFC interview I'd heard for a long time.

If you haven't yet please do listen to it, gives me much more hope than anything Roosy could say (not having a go at Roos, but it's really up to the players now imo given the resources & how this club is being run by PJ).

I get the impression that he's finally figured out how big and strong he really is. He seems to be looking for contact instead of avoiding it. He's not afraid to get hit any more.

He was laying tackles and played with intent.

Paul Roos on Jack Watts:

"I think today, if it's not his best game he's ever played, certainly the way he played was really important. He set the scene when he started forward, crashed in, got some balls on the lead (and) made things happen, and that continued all day.

"It's good that when we win he gets some reward (because) too often when we've lost he's the one that's been criticised. But over the last eight weeks when we've lost, everyone's left him alone because he's actually been really consistent."

We might just get to see Jack become the best player he can be and I reckon that will be quite awesome!

Im so proud of Jack. I have been one of his many critics but his last 2 months he is a completely different player. He is showing hardness and aggression we have been screaming for. If this is the work of Brendan McCartney then kudo to him aswell!

What an absolutely fantastic interview

Without wanting to jinx him, I suspect he has really "turned the corner"

Go Jack

Basic physics:

What was once merely Volts, potential, is now becoming Watts, output!!

Great game from the player I have always had faith in! Now we need to give Toumpas another chance in the ones instead of (say) Mitchie.

Some really strong marks today as well as the usual neat disposal. Love it when he uses his speed, only wish we start to see it more and more. Wattsy has been one of the big ticks this year and I still think he's only just scratching the surface of his talent.

Still got a whole lot of upside to come.

lets all hope, HE AMPS things UP some; from here On Mono ?!!!

because we have all stuck thick, with his heavy carbon years. now, lets see the wind flowing thru his blond locks, as he soars like 'Peter Knights' once did.

I feel like the majority of supporters did not stick thick in the slightest and most had wanted the club to cut all ties.

He has shown over the last 2 months that he has vastly improved his output and I for one am glad we have a player of his potential and calibre in our best 22.

Good on you Jack Watts for the interview :)

He has really developed as a player and he has the skills, but is only now building on his confidence. The weighting of his kicks is very good and he makes good decisions. I really enjoy watching Wattsy play and he is going to be a star in the coming years....GO DEES!!! :)

so It seems that you do not think that the pressure applied to him & made him make a conscious decision, one way or the other, to get tougher on himself or to remain as soft as hew was before..

..... some people like you it seems, think someone can open a magic box of fairy dust in front of the fairy's, & then all will become, well, like magic, & we all travel on merrily.

others prefer to try to push for an outcome, one way, or the other way...... this time, it looks like the best possible outcome, thus far.

.. anyhow, don't let your softness, grieve you when it comes to full contact sport, as I'm sure you don't do?

Roos, McCartney and Goodwin. I would suggest, along with Jack himself, that one or all of these men are responsible for his turn in form and his arrival as a player. I'm inclined to suggest it's Brendan McCartney. We are blessed with our current coaching team.

I think it’s Bernie Vince. I see a lot of Bernie Vince in Jack Watts’ current playing style, and Jack obviously holds Bernie in high esteem (see his recent 3AW interview).

Any link to the PJ interview? Or what station it was on?

Scroll down to the bottom of this link.

http://m.3aw.com.au/...801-gipach.html

PJ sounds really strong and determined in defending and building our Club.

Sounds like he does not 'suffer fools gladly',

Especially reporters who ask dumb questions!

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
