My Twitter is Demonpk

Jack Watts spent about an hour at the Tam, came back absolutely drenched in sweat, so for somebody training on his own, didn't bludge

Regarding your tweets you should put a fullstop (.) in front of any starting with a @ sign so they go out to all your followers, otherwise they will only go out to those who follow you and the person you start the tweet with unless someone follows you and that person.

You may already know that, but just a hint if you didn't.

Is it normal for members of the public to be asking the players questions and talking to them during training sessions? I understand it happening after training, perhaps photos with kids and autographs and whatever, but is asking them stuff during practice not distracting in any way?

No its normal

If we have another [censored] season I know who ill be blaming

But seriously, this is the first preseason I can honestly say the youngsters have come back looking ripped and with size

How dIid Salem and Toump go today? Haven't heard much about them apart from Salems big arms and Toump's shaved head. Would prefer a bit more clarity if anyone has seen them please?

Both of these guys look to be training pretty well. They look fit and did all the drills and running. They both kicked the ball well in all the drills. I didn't see them make any stray kicks or handballs. To me they just seem to be training solidly at this stage.

Oh and Tyson did the whole session as well so the finger must be going ok. Missed a few kicks but just looks class with ball in hand.

Thanks DS!! Good to hear Dom is good!

Dare I say it, but, I think we are in for a good season ahead and are in good hands with our new Football Club. Can't wait.

Most members of the public have no interaction with the players, during or after. Some have the odd chat and some stalk the players. There is no chatting at all with players when they're on the oval. They often come off to change gear, get a drink or treatment. It's here or before/after the session they might get bailed up.

My experience over the years has been that very few players are not prepared to have a friendly chat during a break in training, as RM suggests however, not whilst they are concentrating on drills.

I walked on to Claremont oval a couple of years ago when we were here to get thrashed by WCE. Walked up to Jack Watts with my 2 year old and he and Trenners were only too happy to pose for a photo and chat however they were just doing warm up kicking.

Most supporters know the limits.

That's what I have been thinking the last 8 seasons S and well that didn't work out to good.

This season and for the first time I am in a "wait and c" pattern.

That is I will not get over excited until I c them play in 2015.

Gee opened the can of worms with the chatting to players, they are human beings as well and some actually enjoy the interaction with supporters, Howie, Watts, Terlich, Salem, Vince.....others not so much, but all the players are willing to chat at the end of the session, so that is when I chat to them, there have been observers who have tried to interact during, the players usually gently remind them they are working

I have been trying to gauge through talking to them whether what the posters who are at training are observing, ie whether it has gone up a notch or two again, is true and yes it has, for instance Nev Jetta knows when his 3k time trial is scheduled and he is already working on what time he wants to do

As for the question on Salem and Toump, both worked solidly during the off season and came back ready to go, Toump has had a bit of gastro but is travelling fine now, they know they have a challenge ahead to get into the opening 22 but are up for it

Thanks Saty. I think they will both have break out years in 2015. Toump to be what I think he can be and Salem to move forward and will get more of the ball and use his damaging disposal. Both to be backed up by the Machine (Viney). Add these three to our new older guys and P2 and P3 and we are on the right track now!!! Bring it on!

Saty - given the "offseason" for us is generally around 6-8 weeks in total, and looking at the way some of our players have come back (regarding fitness, body size, etc), at your next training session, can you please speak to whoever you need to to get a personal training plan for me?

I'm willing to sacrifice 6-8 weeks of pizza and pizz if I can start looking like Jack Viney. It'd be my luck I'll come out with arms like Bernie instead and missed numerous weekends of said pizza and pizz.

There is only one thing in those photos that really irritates me... the mention of Nathan Jones as co-captain. As far as I'm concerned, until someone proves otherwise, there is currently no-one worthy of sharing the captaincy with him (it really is a shame the club doesn't see it that way).

Jordie will need to look good - he's got his foot on a banana skin I would think. He must have been next in line for the flick.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
