Is it surprising that after seven years of crap performance that supporters get a bit upset?

No it is not surprising, seven years is a long time to keep being told to be patient, especially when you consider it is 50 years since the last flag.

As a marker we should take note of injuries suffered at other clubs, the Eagles example is an excellent one, decimated last year, yet surely one of the most professionally run organisations going round, sometimes it's just kismet rather than gross mismanagement that's at the heart of the matter.

Agree that we have been suffering a long time, but at least you have had the opportunity to experience the ultimate.I will be 50 in early October and now feel I will never get that chance, just hope my kids do.

I don't mind Petterd's delisting, it was a reasonable call. What I find silly is that having been delisted many Demonlanders say that even fit he was no good and we are better without him.

Petterd, Moloney, Rivers and Bennell are now playing regular footy elsewhere, some with more certainty than others and some in better teams than others.

They'd sure as hell get a game with us.

yep Bennell has played 1 game for West Coast - in a row !!

About as regular as he got for us! Didn't play a game in 2013. Real regular.

For a start i didn't know he did his hammy twice before XMAS and had previously not heard anything about a calf injury.

Also becasue he appeared to be honest i could trust that barring setbacks there is a reasonable chance that he might back by about round 5. If he doesn't? Well i'll know there's been a set back and i'm not going to be angry that he duped me.

Before last season the AFL mooted introducing a rule where a player who suffered a concussion was automatically ruled out of the following weeks game. Perhaps they didn't implement it, I was under the assumption they did but I could be wrong.

I know it'll be a long two months but let's just think of everything up until round 10 as training for our midfield group to gel with each other. Bythen we bloody well should have most of our talls back and we can start looking at the scoreboard.

Webber, you know your stuff so some questions for you...is it correct that knee reconstructions are done (sometimes? always?) using a pice of tendon from the hamstring to replace the torn ligament? If this is the case, is it possible that Gawn's hamstring problem might be associated with what I would assume, perhaps incorrectly, is a weakening of the hamstring because of his knee reconstructions? And furthermore, is it possible that he doesn't necessarily have a tear in his hamstring at all but rather something associated with the tendonous rather than the muscular part of the hamstring?

Hamstring tendons are the preferred option, then there's 'LARS' (artificial), and cadaver grafts (yep, from dead dudes, or dudesses), which are becoming more popular, but have supply issues. The hamstring is not a problem, as the time taken for full rehab (9 months) of an ACL is more than enough to have hams compensatory growth. Maxy is a long way now from his surgery also. Re: tendon or muscle tear, tendon is more troubling, takes a lot longer to rehab, and less commonly an acute injury. It is more an overuse repetition injury. So, yes it's possible, but based on reports, very unlikely.

Just recycling really. They're a winner because the process is simpler without having to harvest an autologous graft (from your own bod). They have to be irradiated to get rid of rejection issues, and they revascularise like a normal graft, thus becoming living regenerative tissue. They would be the norm if not for lack of availability. Could be a good black market opportunity. Hmmmmm.......

Besides our injuries and depleted forward line... We really have improved, our midfield looks good... Roos identify our problem and fixed it.. Our current problem now can be fixed with players from our list... All we need is two of Dawes, Clark, Hogan or Fitzpatrick and we'd be a ten goal better side.... Even though we will lose the next couple of matches, things are really starting to look up for us....

We really need to sign Roos on for another three years... The original two/three years isnt enough... I really hope that Roos is happy and wants to finish the job that looked imposible, until he took it...

If you think he isnt then one of the best clubs on the sport would disagree with you

First I don't think they are one of the best clubs in the sport, I would say that Hawks, Cats, Swans, Bombers, Dockers and Eagles would be ahead of them for starters. I note GC beat them last week and will be better than them soon and maybe Port and Crows are also better than them.

Second I don't think even the Tigers would say he is a quality player.
