we've made strides to undo the mistake that was 2012/2013

it was a mistake that Moloney left us

we need big-bodied senior midfielders

this is a bloke who'd die for the jumper

undo the mistake and bring him back

It would be good, but it won't happen.

why would he even want to come back anyway?

after the sour taste the MFC left him with

we did not sack him he chose to look elsewhere as a restricted free agent. he made the choice because he did not like the coach, well with any decision comes consequences so move on.

I doubt he'd want to come back and I doubt we'd be even considering it, when you have a split like that it is finished.

Beamer had a big head before he left and if we chased him he would be insufferable.

Neeld wanted beamer to play a defensive game as well, beamer didnt do it cracked it and left. We saw what happened to beamer when he was heavily tagged in games, he couldnt deal with it and did nothing.

No thanks he can stay at brisbane

He's not a bloke who would die for the jumper.

He's not even a bloke who would play in a slightly unfamiliar role for the jumper.

Much better and younger and more suitable midfielders out there to hunt for, too.

I think if we are going to go after a midfielder with only a couple of years left, it would be someone like Cross or Sewell. Someone who not only has something to offer on-field, but also exuding professionalism and hard work.

He'd die for it, but he wouldn't play in it for a mean old coach who wanted him to try new roles? Okie dokie.

Edit: Sorry - didn't see Little Goffy's post, which says the same thing. So yeah, what he said.

So does that mean we should get back Morton, Bennell, Gysberts, Cook ect?

He put himself above the jumper and left for it.

remind me who was it that tweeted KARMA is a [censored]

He can suffer in his jocks, I diehard demon supporter was he? Any pr*ck that played the way he played in 2012 can talk a long walk off a short pier.

He was supposed to be a role model, the only role he did, was to take the kids down to his punching bag camp, and throw his weight around.

lets not get into sampling the wares along Chapel St. Noteably mentioned by $cully after he departed on one of a few reasons he thought MFC culture sucked.

I'd take back burnout king Mclean before beamer, thats saying a lot.

Wouldn't you think Roos & his culture Wisdoms, should be able to workout the best ways forward,,, without Our demands on him for old boys?

I'll trust in his ability to take this club, a shape it up the right way.

Still amazes me that some people here genuinely believe that Moloney was the only one who spat the dummy in 2012 - just about all of them did (they just hid it well) There was a 'work to rule' in place and most of our players have been playing 'selfish' for the last 2 years. 1%ers - they don't exist at our club - hopefully Roos can change that but he has a mammoth task.

In 2012 - Frawley, Garland, Jamar, Davey, Green, Rivers, Sylvia, Bate, Dunn, Trengove, Watts, McKenzie, Bartram and Howe were largely ineffectual in most games. Yet they don't cop any real heat? Only Jones, Grimes and McDonald could hold their heads up from that 2012 season. In many ways, 2012 was worse than this season.

I'm not advocating bringing Moloney back. That relationship is over. Just wanting to add some balance and context. Moloney reflected the rest of the playing group. And it continued on into this season - 2 wins and a pitiful percentage.

Why don't you nip around to Neeldy's in the Delorean? Oh actually, he has no regrets.

Why not borrow Schwabie's Wolseley 6/90 (the one he bought off Stewie Spencer).

This makes me sick. He [censored] off to Brisbane. No. He wouldn't die for the jumper.

And no. I don't want him back. B grader at best.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
