  1. I've had it with Oscar McDonald's pathetic performances. Surely there is someone else on our list who will put in more effort and intent. Cant believe Goodwin thought it was a good idea to put him forward for part of today. Omac missses a mark or tackle *trudge trudge trudge* Omac gently extends arm to opposition *trudge trudge trudge* Opposition either: A) fumbles the ball *Omac runs over it and falls over* B) passes it to a team mate nearby *Omac initiates turning circle of a truck, misses the player and slowly jogs it out over the boundary* *feigns exhausted face, head down, trudge trudge trudge* Me on couch with head in hands: "ffs Oscar..."
  2. A shout out to Nathan Jones. Playing some of his best football. There was a moment (45 seconds to go in the 3rd) where he handballed it out on the full trying to link up with Langdon, and just smiled. For a bloke that's pulled us through some pretty crap periods in the past, its great to see him enjoying his footy, the team and some great wins. Go dees.
  3. I think it was Jenkins, who then handballed to Lynch for the goal. The true crime was Fritsch not impacting the marking contest enough then not keeping up after Ellis-Yollmen, allowing the overlap and inside 50, then Omac for completely misreading the play and being turned out nearly 10m by Jenkins. JKH weirdly backed up into Jenkins when in front and should have used his pace. Took an easy option for himself. I dont blame the umpires, and think it was the right call. JKH didnt take the game on and a bigger body came over him. Play on. 3 of our worst pressure players involved.
  4. Watched just after half time. Still baffled at how professional athletes earning an average of $310,000 pa missed easy opportunities. Behinds in H2: Weideman x2 Gawn x2 Harmes x1 T. Smith x1 Jones x1 Hunt x1 With this season now a write off, the club needs to be more ruthless on who gets game time. I.e. if they're not going to be part of a permiership team, dont play them. Garlett, OMac and JKH.
  5. +414 games experienc net... amazing to think Petty, Lockhart and Wagner total only 11. Hopefully going to get some much needed leadership and direction.
  6. That may be the case mate, but you've got to work with what you've got. Frost isnt the smartest footballer, but takes the game on and is fast... more importantly got us 4 points!!
  7. Take a bow Frost - what a game!
  8. 2 goals against us directly from players handballing to above the target's head. Professional athletes and they cant do the basics. Skills are appalling.
  9. Great summary. What concerns me are the potential implications of this year. The introduction of free agency and two expansion clubs during our rebuild meant securing young talent got immensely harder, and the talent we took the risk on, spent the time training, and finally those few that succeeded, was farmed and rewarded to the more successful clubs - whilst we got their leftovers. I finally thought we were out of this period at the start of last year with Lever nominating us, and our finals finish. Being bottom of the ladder is going to make a lot of players question their future at the club, and with blood in the water the other clubs are going to start to circle. I really dont think the club has it in it to establish a winning and professional culture without a significant change to current practices. The fact Goodwin hasnt even watched the preliminary replay is damming to their ability to learn from their mistakes and change.
  10. If cohesion, skills and the game plan are the main issues, it seems counter-intuitive to send everyone on a 4 day break. I would have thought going back to basics and working on inside 50 effeciency would be a good start.
  11. Any chance guaranteed Grand Final tickets are refundable and/or tax deductable?... asking for a mate
  12. Happy with Max arou d the ground tonight against Essendon. Played very well. However, would like to see Preuss play to take a bit of pressure off Max and also TMac. Hogan was still good for 40 goals and the #1 defender. No reason why Preuss cant be like Mason Cox and ease pressure in the ruck, forward and kick out target from defence.
  13. HB - obvious question, but do you know if it will be owned by the MFC? (I.e. not by the State Gov or AFL?)
  14. There goes my sleep tonight. Thanks mate - it took me 3 months to grt over that movie.

North Melbourne has been doing it for some time...
  16. An oddly specific thing to point out DS... do I perhaps detect some jealousy?
  17. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  18. I thought he could only splash coffee?
  19. I'd pick Viney (captain) as #1... because when he jumps in a pool he doesn't get wet - the water gets viney'd. Followed by Yze, Robinson, Farmer and Howe for some theatrics Then the rest would be our usual flops, Johnstone, Morton, Cook, Bennell, and Bate Sub... Woewodin (got to have a 'star' in there) For a coach I'd definately have MN for a bit of controversy... or a bit of inspiration for players to jump
  20. Celebrity splash?... *shudders*
  21. is it me you're looking for?
  22. Bahaha I'll hold you too that biffen! I'll bring some monty python movies
  23. Is it worth $100? Tempted to buy myself a Christmas present...
  24. Haha feel exactly the same old dee. A friend of mine just bought an 86, apparently a guy couldn't come up with the finance and he walked in and quite literally drove out. The waiting list in now 20 months! Handles like nothing else, but a shame about the acceleration, would be good if they had put a turbo on it or at least beefed it up a tiny bit. But I guess thats what for example a Subaru Impreza WRX is for (0-100km in 5 seconds...) and a good second hand one is the same price as the BRZ.
  25. Anyone like/owns the Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86??
