Now didn't Healy have a son that was meant to be "the best of the lot" according to Schwarz..?

No?

I recall hearing that somewhere, but I've no idea of the kid's age.

I remember hearing the same from someone else, seems to have disappeared off the radar.

Maybe not such a bad thing if he is a F/S chance.

Exciting. Brett Lovett was an absolute star - one of the most underrated players of the time - remember him playing in Victorian team with Lyon. Rarely beaten and rarely wasted a possie across half back - gun.

Brett Lovett - one of my all time favourites and very under- rated. Hope his son has inherited his good decision making, coolness under pressure and ability to find space. Didn't he come to the Dees from the Hawks?

My favourite demon ever (apologies to Robbie)

I see he has played the one TAC and impressed. I wonder thats due to school commitments or maybe injury?

I've heard he's been excelling for Peninsula.

Talk about red and blue bloodlines, Garry Lyon is Jake's uncle.

When's he eligible? next year?

Yep, he's one for 2015.

Hopefully he gets more game time for the Stingray's once his school commitments have been completed.

Interesting to see Peninsula turning out some decent players. First Lachie Whitfield and now Lovett. I think the last AFL player they had was Stewie Lowe.

Did Nathan Jones go to Peninsula? David Hille was also definitely a Peninsula boy.

awesome.

would love to build a father-son dynasty like the cats.

That would be good, but a premiership dynasty, with or without F/S, would be far better

if hes anything like his old man...

one of the most underrated players of all time, just a smooth mover and much like Robert Harvey he was almost untackle-able.

If my memory serves me correctly Brett may have even finished top 4 in the Brownlow one season?

Absolute gun.

One of my all time favorites - Brett was as slow as treacle - but was courageous, strong overhead for his size, great decision maker and his number one feature - never ever lost his feet.

His father was a brick outhouse. legs like tree trunks.

Outstanding! Wonder if Roos has seen him play. I'm sure Viney will be all over it.

When did the club get Billy in last year to train with us? Will they do the same with Jake over this preseason?

I’m sure Melbourne would have had people watching Jake for a while now. Apparently did quite well playing school footy for Peninsula and has looked relatively comfortable in his few TAC appearances for Dandenong.

Was good for the Stingrays last weekend (19 touches off the bench) and looks very solid in the contest. Neat left foot kick (8 of 9 kicks were effective). Followed up the contests well too. Looks a very good inside mid prospect at this stage, and he’ll have a chance to help Dandenong into another final on Saturday.

Yep, Brett was slow like Sam Mitchell is slow. One of the best readers and users of the ball I've ever season. The people that matter have a very high opinion of Jake's future.

anyone remember the 1994 final against and Carlton when we shocked everyone and won. from memory Brett played on Greg Williams in the centre and was BOG. very skilful footballer by hand and foot. often played on bigger guys down back as he was so good one on one.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
