Nash/ i disagree with the medium impact bs.. it was a fairy tap. chapman efforts last week were worthy of 3 matches, delideo 1 and dawes none.. imo.

WTF? A couple of good wins and we get content and toothless? Delideo punched a guy in the face, after a goal had been scored and got off.. and Dawes' forearm push was half that. We have to appeal this, its only worth a reprimand..

Heard roos twice say (and fairly recently) that in fact he dropped a full 10kgs!.. 6 is probably bad enough anyway.. I see your point and personally i feel a bit the opposite.. in the sense that i feel a higher pick should be more ready / more likely to play, if anything. Was gonna reply about JKH, but i cant 'quote / multi quote' anymore.. JKH is a bit of a freak. right from the word go roos was impressed with his afl-like standards in time trials and in pre season and flagged fairly early from memory, that his habits and work ethic were of an afl standard.. so with JKH i think we just got lucky. In saying that, he'll start to burn out and be due for a rest soon like a lot of 1st year players anyway, IMO..

NO. Ffs, let him develop naturally in the twos.. He dropped 10 kgs preseason and has only just got that back.. Happy for he and Hoges to knuckle down for a few months and then crack it for a chance in the last few rounds - we wont need them til next year anyway. ..looking forward to seeing Riley at some stage soon, tho.

Ive peppered this thread with sh!tty-liver comments - so I thought id clear something up, from a personal p.o.v.. Nothing against jimmy. Nothing. Give him time, he'll be ok. He IS very soft at the moment - but - as he is developing, he's becoming more and more confident with his body - the hesitation is still there, but diminishing.. (like our very own j. watts - who is, obviously, just a couple seasons ahead and a bit more seasoned body-wise, but he was the same..) Good luck to Jimmy for the year - hope he does us proud and he has my unconditional full support, as does every player. This is about the bloody club - As my mum says, and said the other nite while watching Ollie carve it up on tv: 'picking Ollie Wines was a no-brainer.. unfortunately, there were no brains at the club, at the time!' Ollie was the best performed player for that season, he knew the vineys and we needed a READY MADE MIDFIELDER - inside or out didn't matter.. he seems to do both anyway. Thats my gripe - thats why im [censored].. regardless of how good he is now, or in the future - Wines was the player we SHOULD have picked.. Its another major f**k up, in a long list of f**k ups, that are uncanny at making us pay down the line.. I mean, a small part of my brain still wonders, seriously, if the Prenderghasts and neelds weren't sent from other club to keep us down! - thats how bad we got. I hope this thread goes 100 pages, is around for years to come and were still talking about it - it will show how much the f**k ups have hurt and that were determined to keep it at the back of our minds, so its less likely to happen again.

MJT- thats why I put in the get-out clause "I could be wrong" - its hard to know exactly - but that was just my take on it. There would of course be isolated incidences: like maybe roos - tyson.. neeld - dawes another off the top of my head.. wouldnt have thought roos would have much input about salem and jkh and the youngins' tho.. again, I could be wrong - thats just how I read it.. -I could imagine Jason taylor who is VERY good at his work, respectfully looking Roos in the eye and saying 'Mate, this is my area of expertise, I wont let you down.. just concentrate on your already very hefty commitments.
