Nice job Dr, very mature of you!

Out: Sellar, in Pedersen (deck chairs on the titanic)

Out: Bail, in Rodan (not that I rate Rodan but bail needs to work on his game)

Out: Gawn, in Fitzy (Gawn isn't going to well, time to try Fitzy)

Out: Terlich (inj) in Strauss

As we've seen multiple changes doesn't achieve anything. And Pedersen and Fitzpatrick are the two at Casey really making any impact. Rodan I think is next best.

We've got some more underperforming forwards at AFL level (Jetta, Tapscott) but I see little point in Kent, Blease or Taggert at this stage.

Oh and I will summarize this weeks changes as bail out, sell out, gone out and lick out. Whilst we go for rode in, fits in, strap in and peddle in.

Nice and easy I think.

In: Strauss, Fitzpatrick, Pedersen

Out: Nicholson/Bail, Seller, Jetta

It reduces our run slightly, but it gives us much more versatility to have extras able to pinch hit in the ruck and also significantly better disposal. Pedersen goes back in place of Seller, Fitzpatrick into the forward line and Strauss to replace Nicho/Bail and hopefully kick it better. I love Nev, but from all reports he was putrid today.

The President Board and Coaching Staff...Out.

Please.

Yep

...and leave big Fitz out until after the bye or at least until the QB game. He doesn't need to cop Hawthorn and get dropped again.

Let him play a good run of games and give him a chance to show what he's got. They also have to make a choice between Gawn and Jamar. Big Max is not a forward he's a ruck man, one or the other boys. Fitz is the forward relief ruck until Clark gets back, Watts is the 2nd tall forward and when Clark gets back he is probably the number one ruck looking to next year with Dawes and Hogan taking key forwards, develop Fitz as the forward ruck.

Flood the midfield.

Clearly we don't need a traditional forward set up so bring Watts or Howe into the midfield.

Until we have Silvia, Viney, and Toumpas back we need to get creative.

Sydney use a similar plan, only 3 players front and back - the rest in the midfield... look how well that worked against the Hawks.

5 changes for mine this week, I know some of these are a bit late coming but they logical changes and for most of you these should have taken place.

Out: Hope, anticipation, optimism, confidence, positive expectation

In: Maudlin, crushing, unforgiving, despair and desolation

I'm looking for a huge tweo weeks from despair and desolation they have been buidling up really nicely over the season and against two sides like Hawks and Pies I'm really going out on a limb to say they will be best on in the next 2 weeks no questions asked!. The Hawks and Pies have nothing to stop those two for us.

Actually, I'd rather do it the other way round.

Out: Jamar, Sellar, Bail

In: Fitz, Pederson, Rodan.

Fitzy at FF. Pederson on last line of defence.

If T Mac is good to go then somebody should miss from Sunday's team because those 3 blokes deserve the call up.

We all would La but the coaching staff have been really pushing up with a few of the in's, maudlin has been on a real upward curve over the season since round one and unfortunately the 5 outs have been on the downward curve since round 1.

Dunn, Tapscott, Sellar, Bail, Jetta, Nicholson all are worthy of being dropped.

Whether we have enough players to bring in is another question. Pedersen seems to have earned his spot, so there's one.

If we werent playing Hawks and Collingwood i would definitely want to bring in some youth. But that would be silly IMO. After the bye, as long as youth get games Id be happy.

Bring in youth? Apart from a few, the whole team is 'youth'.

Pedersen IN for Sellar - Pedo deserves it after his last few weeks in the VFL.

Strauss IN for Nicholson - Should never have been dropped and his disposal although limited is that much better then Nicho's that he only needs half the touches.

Fitzpatrick IN for Gawn - Gawn's our future no 1 ruck, but he's not a forward, he's a ruckman. Fitzy on the other hand is a forward who can chop out in the ruck and his form for Casey earns him a call up. Gawn to get some game time as no 1 ruck at Casey.

Rodan IN for Bail - Rodan's been in good form for Casey and Bail's been in ordinary form.

MacDonald IN for Dunn - Joel's had a few games back now at VFL level and is a better defender then Dunn.

FB: Garland, Frawley, Terlich

HB: MacDonald, Pedersen, Strauss

C: M. Jones, N. Jones, Evans

HF: Howe, Watts, Tapscott

FF: Fitzpatrick, Dawes, Byrnes

FOLL: Jamar, McKenzie, Magner

INT: Davey, Jetta, Trengove

SUB: Rodan

EMERG: Davis, Nicholson, Toumpas

Nicholson on standbye in case Terlich doesn't come up. Ideally I'd have Davis come in if any of the key position players are late withdrawls. I'd have no real desire to play Toumpas, but need to have at least 1 midfielder in the emergencies in case there's a few late injuries and there's not to many other midfielders to choose from!

im only hanging by a thread like most these days

but the improvement of jhowe has been a weekly watch for me

i am getting excited with the change of duties the fd is giving this young man every week

really looking forward to the job he gets this week

wonder how many other players are getting something out of this rebuild and learning SOMETHING different

its a regular weekly thing these days to see changes and wonder if improvement is made by players coming into

the team and getting free games at afl level

please tell me about a player that can come into the team and improve himself and be an asset next season

Agreed. Fitz needs a run of games to gain momentum and confidence. He's played well at Casey of late. He's earned an opportunity, but don't drop him after 1, 2 or 3 games. He needs 5-6 or more for his worth to be assessed more accurately. God, were giving numerous games to so many who don't produce, why not give Fitz a go?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
