What about BT trying to explain the fireworks? Apparently they were "practising for the Show" (which started today) "by the Yarra" (even though there was a big fk off commission flat next door).

Rutten is "reinjuvenated" according to Richo.

Adelaide are goin to be a very hard team the next few years. Lots of G&D.

I still weep when I think that we passed over Rioli .........

Well done Hawks

Should be another cracker next Saturday. I hope that Richards gets up

CH 7 are awful. BT is awful. His snide asides to Richo are just annoying and his commentary makes 'banal' and 'insightless' look like endearing qualties.

Cameron Ling is the only part of the telecast that is bearable. Turn off the sound, listen to the radio

Unfortunately where I live at least, the radio is a few seconds ahead of the pictures. Just enough to mean you know the outcome of a kick or play before you see it happen. That makes it unworkable.

the TV stations do that on purpose for that very reason.

Called the game over after Hawthorn kicked a goal late in the third quarter I think it was last night... Got slightly ahead of himself.

Doesn't help his cause that they have him calling on his own...

Posted

I cannot stand BT I could list 10 adjectives to describe him

However why did he keep saying " Hawthorn need to hang on here when they were in front in the last quarter.

Something Richmond cannot do"

With respect to Richmond what the hell does a side that could not finish no higher than 12th

have to do with a preliminary final last night?

Moron is the first word that comes to mind.

I think you're being too kind, if it wasnt for Rex Hunt then Taylor would be the market leader.

Yeah .... He lost me there completely. I have never heard of fireworks practice - has anyone else?

Just when you think it couldn't get any worse....

We leave live football for an ad on some ridiculous show on Edelstons trophy.

Their producers are a joke

It was this point that made me realise i was watching channel seven instead of Fox Footy... had to change

I heard him say "long and deep" at least a doze or so times last night.

He was saying that during the game too.

That'd be the only place.

Got narky in the Brownlow interview with Lingy when they suggested he was running in the GF sprint off 40m - everyone else had the [censored] taken in good spirit (see lie-detector) but he couldn't handle it. Total (short) [censored].

Remember Mike Williamson. Now there was a man who knew how to call a game.

Superb.

... and was it Alf Potter who knew how to produce football coverage and with less cameras than we have now he didn't manage to lose the ball. A good feel for the game.

i don't know why you guys get so hot under the collar, just turn down the telly and listen to the slightly out of sync ABC774. after all, you are not listening to sandy grandstanding roberts, Peter i'll tell you what you can already see landy or mike i tipped this williamson. bt is one of the few remaining eccentrics on the box so just leave him there.

must agree. BT say's it how it is. he's ok. i usually listen to the first half on 774 then switch over to bt for the second half. the 7 team have surprised me or perhaps more so ch 7 for recruiting such an interesting bunch. i also particularly like the Rhonda ad.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
